Cryn: This is a replacement for one I had exactly like it that I only used on occasion for several years. I like it. My husband likes it. We haven't had any problems with it stretching out. It expands a long way during use. But it contracts nearly to the length when purchased. It can spin a bit too much sometimes if I hold both handles. So I use one handle and grasp the other end of the scrubber where the string attaches. That keeps it from spinning. But that only happens sometimes. In all, I am very pleased, and I would recommend it. The fact that it comes in a pack of four makes it highly economical.

GeneGene: Decent loofah, no gripes. Maybe people who have issue with stretching it out or not getting enough pressure instead need a tree or scratching post to rub against??? This loofah has met my needs both at home and traveling fantastically. I don't believe I have ever attempted to find out what the longest this can stretch to is and it has maintained its elasticity wonderfully. Apply soap on all 4 sides to use, and fold it in half to shake water after done from both ends, and it works great. All of my back loofahs from this set have lasted at least as long as my best conventional round loofah has. I'm buying my second set after 2yrs since I last bought a set of four of these and my 4th is starting to come due for replacement. Fair disclosure I rarely use my back loofah for anything other than my back, so regular ball loofahs take on most of the wear and tear - only using my back loofahs for back cleaning and not stretching it out much while doing so might significantly lengthen the useful lifetime of this product.
