Epilady Legend 4th Generation Rechargeable Electric Hair Removal System

Anna Covington: This is my 2nd time purchasing an Epilady product (full body epilator). My first one was similar, red & white, same style rotating head. It was a little smaller, and was not rechargable, you could only use it with the cord attached, which I did not mind. But I’ve had it awhile (maybe 3 years?) and it was starting to sound funny, like it was close to petering out soon and I did not want to be without my Epilady!! I really depend on it. So I ordered this one during Amazon’s Prime Deal Days and got a little bit of a discount, which was nice. This model is really similar to my first model, but it’s slightly longer in length and can be used with the cord, or without, once it’s fully charged. That will probably come in handy. I had read other reviews that said this model worked even better than the one I had because it had adjustable speeds and removed even the tiniest bit of hair regrowth. Meaning you do not have to wait until you LOOK like you need to shave before you can epilate your stubble. Ripley_Effect: I used an older model Remington epilator for several years. It recently died, so I naturally wanted to replace exactly what I had. However, the replacement Remington I bought had 2 speeds - fast & faster, which isn't good right off the bat because I prefer a low speed when epilating more sensitive areas or for areas that have thicker hair.

Next, it was very rare that I ever got pinched by my old one, even when I'd get going quicker. But this one constantly pinched me and left bruises & sores all over me - even on areas that I was holding the skin tight. I tried various techniques, like epilating the night before a shower when I was completely dry - or dusting myself with powder & brushing it off to make sure my skin wasn't sticky at all. But nothing helped. :(

Since I couldn't use it without the fear of being hurt and it leaving unsightly & painful marks all over, I returned it. Then I did some research & found out that Epilady was the 1st brand to make epilators. They really stressed that they use anti-pinch technology & that you can use it on all body parts that you want hair removed.

Fallow: My first Epi was purchased in the 1980’s. It worked all these years until recently. The charging capabilities stopped charging but as long as it was plugged in, it worked. I’m hoping this new one will be just as good & dependable. This type of hair removal is better for me. I don’t have to shave as often, when hair grows back they are lighter in color & softer (no stubbles). Great investment to have.

Erienne Cookson: I purchased this to replace the one I bought back in the 80's. I was a bit nervous as it was a totally different device this time. The new version is even better and I'm actually glad my old one finally stopped working. The rechargeable battery holds the charge for a good amount of time.

Mary Young: Works great! Pinches a little, not much though. It did a great job on the first use, and kept the hair off for weeks. Kept more off on the second use. I read up on several of these products before finally buying this one, and I am not disappointed. A bit hard to maneuver over my shin bone, otherwise, easy to use.

Ruby Lola: I had my old Epilady for about 20 years and it finally died. The decision to replace it was a no brainer. My previous Epilady had 3 speeds and got the job done, so I was skeptical when I received my new Epilady with only 2 speeds and it felt a little wimpy. I don't know how, but it removed my hair even better than before and more gently. Previously, I would always feel a tiny bit of leg hair stubble after I was don....I guess it was those TINY new growth hairs. This new version left my legs perfectly smooth. I was even able to do my bikini line with this gentler model. My old one would have MANGLED my private parts! Another bonus is the cordless option....I was able to go outside in the sun so that I could see every little hair. I hope this one lasts 20 years too!

Boss Mom: I am a real user of this product and this is a legitimate review. Some of these reviews seem to be professional writers that are maybe hired to leave reviews. I've been using this Epilady for over 3 weeks now. It's my first time using an Epilady. I have used this on my face, my arms, my arm pits, my legs and my bikini area. I think this product works better in some areas over others and that's why I rated it 3 stars. I'll start with the face. I usually bleach the hair on my face but started to worry that that was leaving a mustache stain so I thought I'd try an Epilady. I think it works the worst on the face because the hairs on the face or the finest and hardest for those little tweezers to grab. But it does work, it just takes a little time to remove the hair and you will likely still have to do some light plucking with tweezers for those hairs that this just won't remove. You have to be careful on the face though because you will want to press down to get those hard to get hairs but you can not press down with this but only run it very lightly over your face. If you press down it will remove a light layer of your skin and you will be left with red patches that will take a few...

T.S.: This is the second Epilady I have bought. The last one, I can't really remember what became of it. Was 20 years ago. I used it for years though. I swear my leg hair grows in kinda patchy from pulling it out for so many years in University.
This new one is much smaller and the coils are less dangerous looking ; )
Can't say as it works any better than my old one did, but it does the job and saves me a whole lot in waxing costs. The recharging is a nice option.
The one bonus is this one can do bikini lines. The old one I had pulled too hard to do that... Ouch!!
