Super Mom: The tips the author gave were okay. But I thought they were kind of manipulative to use on your working colleagues.
The book could easily been reduced to about 50 pages.
Putting on a happy face is obvious if you are a sincerely happy person. Wishing people a great day is also common curtesy.
Delving into someone’s personal problems is not.
Almost everyone wears some sort of mask for protection.
I would strongly suggest, it is better to be an attentive, sincere listener, than to simply nod in agreement to work challenges.
That way, you could bear the burdens of a difficult work environment, without regrets.
Always be sincere with everyone.
Your sincerity should reap great rewards, in your home life and hopefully someday, in your workplace.

Dhaval Prajapati: I read this book. It is amazing. I learnt a lot form it.
Just one thing troubled me that English grammar and sentance formation is wrong at some place. So, I have personally recommended author to reproof this book from one of the English expert. It will make it complete I think.

My Star Ratings (with Amazon Ratings in parenthesis):
1 Star (I hate it!) : The lowest score possible. Definitely not worth the money and time and effort! should only use this when the product really does not reflect the product listing. If there are any positives at all to the product or its use, you should not give it 1 star.
2 Stars (I don't like it.): The product is not exactly as described, either appearance-wise or functionally. The product may still be usable but it’s very different to what was described. The product may have a few faults. I'm not a fan of this item as it is no where close to my expectations and I won't order it again, but I can imagine a few others might find it functional as it has at least one positive quality.
3 Stars (It's okay): This item has both positive and negative qualities. I can definitely see some people loving or liking it as it may work for them, but I would likely not purchase in future. While you might think a 3-star score equates to average, 3 stars counts against the product as a negative score. So if you’re not meaning to give it a negative...

MRT: I recently bought "Communication Skills Training", actually without expecting much of it, since I felt that the other comments didn't give much clear explanations. I needed to better my leadership skills, so I saw it as a repetition, with probably new arguments.
And I'm glad I did. The concept of seeing things with different “lenses” alone was a very valuable one.
Working with groups, I always (...try to) understand the other people's position, their agenda and abilities, but I missed to see the world through their glasses, their "filter"! Well, I didn't know better until that day, and I this book even contains a few more surprises of that caliber : )
Another point that I really appreciate, is that the author does not pretend own The Truth. There are many variants of everything out there, and everyone has to get out and feel the rain…

Marion: As a person looking to communicate better in a wider variety of situations, this book was a good read. It was jammed packed with information and references to research. I particularly found helpful
- learning the filters people see reality through. It really explained how people can have the same data and come up with different conclusions PLUS what to do about it.
- the difficult people chapter. This helped me see that I was actually encouraging other people's bad behavior by not being assertive enough, taking it to personally, or caving for peace.
- the networking chapter. The tips for how to get in and out of conversations was great.
The book also expelled a lot of myths about communication such as a person is lying if they look to your left and that you need to talk a lot to be liked. I have been reading the correlating sections of this book every time I have a social event and I have seen improvement. This book will definitely stay at my desk.
