thuan minh: Good product overall but need some upgrade in my personal point of view.

Once you press a “time”, the bluelight stay for like 3-5seconds and it goes away. It wont go to next increment as its counting down the time. Says like i pressed “30 min”, bluelight flash for 3 seconds then go away. Its not going down to 10 min and so on. Basically if i press 30 min, i wont know how many minutes left before it turn off

Amazon Customer: 3 of 4 works well. The fourth is intermittent. Otherwise I’m happy with the purchase for my hook up not using the neutral wire.

J L W: These switches are great, good quality and work well. I like that the LED lights do not stay on ( but I think you can program them to do so), also hitting the large on/off button turns on using the last timer setting (again you can override this so that the light/fan stays on)
All in all a solid recommend

C T Li: I have the pair of timer switch installed in the bathroom for light and vent. The switches are a little tight fitting into the electrical box considering there are many wires (4 3-core cable with ground) already. After a few hours I checked the switches and felt a little warm to touch. I removed the cover plate and touch on the metal part of the switch's mounting bracket. It was warm. I called the customer service and was transferred to the technical person. He indicated it was normal. However he offered to send me another pair so I can compare.
I tested the replacement in a standalone electrical box. All good and felt no warm to touch even at the metal bracket.
Replaced the first pair with the new ones. Felt a little warm, I guess it is due to lack of ventilation inside the wall outlet box.
Still working good so far.

KabKab: When built, the bath light and fan were on separate switches. To eliminate condensation on the ceiling, I would leave the fan on after showering, only to forget and find it running hours later, wasting electricity and heat in winter. Even with condensation on the ceiling, testing with a humidity meter at the switch found almost no change. So a humidistat switch would likely be ineffective.

Looking around for a timer, I found this one, and am totally happy with the results. Installation was simple because all the wires came through the box (ground, neutral, light hot, and fan hot). I just replaced the fan switch with this timer. (Ensure power is off at the breaker before work, verify at the box. Consult an electrician if there is any question about your ability to safely perform the work.) I did need to visit the big box store to get a combination wall plate.

Pressing any of the smaller top buttons programs the switch and runs the fan for that time. Pressing the large bottom button re-runs the last program time. Very simple. I found my best setting is 30 minutes. I just press the large bottom button once before stepping in the shower. 30 minutes later ... long after...

IAMCIAMC: Everyone should have a timer controlling their bathroom exhaust fan. There are many makes and models of timers however this unit fits the task perfectly. It has 5 and 10 mins for "stale odor" issues and 60 min for longer durations for taking care of steam from showers and post-shower drying of the room.

It's a sleek looking unit - many others look cheap or clunky. The buttons have a good positive feel. I have used nearly the exact same unit for over 6 yrs now however that one was branded General Electric and was a 3-wire (no neutral). Holding the two units side by-side (see attached photo), they are identical - well the GE had a 15 min button where this one has a 10 min. Clearly designed by the same company in California. This unit is of course, built in China.

The GE branded version was a little temperamental since it used a 100 uf electrolytic capacitor to run the electronics instead of a hot and neutral based power supply. If you activated the buttons too often, you could render the unit inoperative until the capacitor recharged and rebooted the microcontroller. Also after a power outage, same issue - had to wait till the cap was charged before you could use it....

Amazon.ca customerAmazon.ca customer: I've just installed a 5 min-4 hr timer switch for my bathroom fan, and tested each switch/button. This timer switch works as the product description mentions.

Before purchasing, I read a few questions like "I have 3: white, black and ground. can i use it?" and "If we use only blk and white, will timer work?". I decided to get this timer switch as I found answers suggested that if we have black, neutral (white) and ground (green or bare copper) then this product would work without red.

In my existing box for two switches, I have 3 black wires coming from the wall. 1st black wire is connected to an existing light switch. 2nd black wire is connected to an existing fan switch. 3rd one is combined with two black wires come from existing switches.
In multiple-switch situations, it is common for both switches use the same supply/circuit and the supply wire are split to both switches. I was able to easily figure out which blacks are line without using tester (though, for safety reasons, I recommend you to use a tester to figure them out.)
In my case, twisted black wires are "hot" that connected to the terminal, and the remaining wires that directly connected wall and...

Amazon Customer: This digital in-wall countdown time switch did everything I was expecting. My application required the control of some small low voltage 120VAC plug in power supplies and an A/V Receiver which standard countdown timers and motion control switches without a neutral connection will not work for.

The Non-Neutral versions depend on a trickle of 120Vac current going through the connected device in order to power its internal digital timer circuitry. If the load connected to the switch does not have a low enough resistance in order to conduct enough current when turned off to drive the circuity, then the timer will not function.

i.e.: If you connected say a 10 watt incidence light bulb as the output load, the high resistance of that small load would not pass the "off state" circuit current to power the internal timer. If replaced with a 60 Watt bulb, it would work. That is also true of newer small plug-in power supplies (cellphone chargers), some bathroom fan motors and especially most electronic products such as TVs and A/V Receivers and amplifiers.

Also, that small trickle of current required to power the timer circuity when the load is turned off can cause havoc...
