Joe Shmo: This little motor seems to be working great and it is quiet. The thing that gets me irate is that they did not include the nuts to mount it in the frame. The nuts I had form my old one were too big. Why cant they simply include the two nuts for an extra few cents? Be prepared to have to rummage through your shop or head to the store to find the correct nuts. But it is still a great deal and I would recommend buying it.

Mrl: You have to understand it’s a70 cfm with 3000 rpm so it’s not going to be whisper quite but it’s not terribly loud either .it fit perfect on an older Broan 969 that had a much bigger rounder motor that was 60 bucks or more to replace so I’m very happy with it so far ..my bracket had extra holes factory drilled and this dropped right in…

JeremiahJeremiah: The media could not be loaded. I did a fair bit research and decided to save everyone else the trouble. This motor will fit a 763 RL unit, which originally came with a 50cfm fan. The mounting plate and box are pretty much identical to the unit that this one belongs to. It's definitely close at the top and you may find that a hammer to the top center of the box for an extra 1/4inch may helpful, but I only had to do this because I used rubber washers to mount the motor to the mounting plate (the unit is significantly quieter and It is certainly quieter than the 50cfm motor without rubber washers.)
Being that the two are the same price roughly, I highly recommend getting this over the original motor. The heat sink uses double the heat pipes, and is significantly thicker as shown in the pictures. The difference in height is about a quarter inch and the fan is significantly bigger in circumference (however, this box was designed a fan this big, so it's not even tight on the sides) but there is plenty of room if you use a little bit of ingenuity for the height difference. It's very miniscule and most people probably won't need to do anything to fit this fan.

I did this quite cautiously on the drill press and all is well. If you don't know how to do what I just described you won't be able to use this motor configuration.
