Nubian Nikki: I have a Shih Tzu puppy who loves this. She will spend all day playing with it. I break up a dog treat and sprinkle the crumbs all over the inside. That way she gets to eat some but also keeps her occupied trying to reach for the crumbs. I have not tried to clean it yet.

J. Hulliberger: Well, there's food in there, so of course they love it! We don't get it out often enough, but our dogs, especially the little one, really does enjoy digging around in there for treats. It gives them something to do and some pleasure in finding the treats. Simple to use, and should last a long time as long as we take it away before she starts to tear it up. She has a compulsive chewing habit.

Frank: Easy to use, and adjust the difficulty by making the opening smaller or larger. We have one Border Collie that needs it small so she has to work for it. Our Carolina Dog needs extra help as she will choose brute force over hunting out every little piece.

Both dogs do great with it and we use it for their daily feeding and we have not seen one tear or rip in it. For the most part it stays in one place for them to dig around in and when needed it will move for them to keep searching. I am supprised that they have not flipped it over to try to knock out the food, I have not seen them do it once as it seems like there is a little bit of weight to make it stable.

Well done on the design and quality materials you used for this product.

Emilie Larin: My dog (mixed husky) really enjoys this. It slows him down to eat and stimulates his brain to search with his nozzles. He is a strong chewer but did is gentle with this one and use it as it should.

Christina C.: My 8 month old puppy loves the snuffle mat so much and gets verryyyy excited every time we pull it out. He’s a very quick eater, so some days he gets his meals here and other times we just use it for treats. It loses a star for two reasons.. first, it has a pretty weird odor right out of the gate, and beyond that, even with regular washing it gets really smelly every couple of uses. We use it much less now that I realize I need to hand wash it every few days to prevent this. Second, and this is mostly my fault, but the drawstring used to change the shape of the snuffle mat is super weak and my puppy chewed it off, which takes away the opportunity to turn it into a bowl (and be more challenging). Not blaming the product for my puppy’s chewing, but I do wish the string was slightly more durable.
