K. Wood: Keep your pencil or highlighter handy! This book is full of useful information and actionable ideas to help reach your students. This book thoroughly explains how poverty can affect all aspects of students' lives and the ways they learn. This book would be useful to any teacher who wants to engage with their students in a more meaningful way, whether or not the students come from poverty.

Dr. Jim Ewing: Eric Jensen makes it so simple. Of course it is challenging to meet the needs of each students, but Eric Jensen has an easy-to-understand style. It is like he is here explaining the strategies. I bought the book a few months ago, but I find myself referring to it. If you have Title 1 students, this is a great book. The bonus is that these strategies will work for many students.

user 313: Eric Jensen writes a lot of great material to assist in poverty in education. Not my preferred book (Teaching with Poverty in Mind), but definitely up there. Good use of data driven results.
