swdesertdolphin: If everyone read this book and followed the practices within it the world would truly be a better place.
Pema is a master at explaining profound truth with great simplicity.

sarah mifsud: Pima’s writing does not need my commentary. She lifts my thoughts up and dusts them off with a perfect brush, while she smiles directly into my grumpy heart.

Rosemary P: The raving reviews are not embellishing at all. This book is less than 100 pages, so a quick read for most. What it lacks in length it makes up for in profound insight, relatability and understandability. Pema somehow is able to make all of her points relatable and in an easy-to-understand way that I am positive everyone could gain something out of this book. I’m NOT one for self help books which is why I love this book so much. Pema doesn’t write as though she has all of the answers and has now written a book to push what worked for her down your throat- it’s a book that has mastered the art of simplistic, empathetic love and understanding. I urge you to buy it and really drive right in.

Jennifer: I have been suffering a lot lately, shutting down and hurting people I love. This was painful for everyone including me and then this book came along and taught me how to gain awareness on me emotions and just live it fully til it dissolved because everything is impermanent. And this has been so useful! Incredibly hard but from the best way to deal with my demons and let go of the need to be constantly in a "happy state". I cant thank enoigh the author to have made such knowledge accessible to the world. Its been a long time since ive been able to say that im looking forward to whats coming in my life. This has given some precious understanding about life and some well apreciated wisdom.
Thanks again Pema Chodron

Ravishankar Thavamani: I finished the book when i am at the low of my life till now in my 26 years of living. Provided the much needed perspective on life and existence. You might not take the leap of faith with this one book but you will definitely feel the change in you and attracted towards buddhism. To say in other words , you may be content even if you do not take the leap of faith and will be happy just to observe yourself ,your surrounding and your life in a third person's eyes.

WOODSNAKE: This book is absolutely brilliant if you are in a crisis. It explains the useful technique of pausing to allow what needs to be felt to arise spaciously, rather than suppressing or acting out. A little bible for those times when we have lost balance...she seems to have this way of bringing me home...even if it's just for a second or two, and reminding me to pause frequently throughout the day. For those times when I just can't get through the inertia to arrive serenely on my mat and meditate....when I am trying to run away from the present, this is the book. Her words are fresh, not cliched. She walks her talk and uses wry, amusing and humbling anecdotes that keep you engaged..
