Samuel Muldoon: I pulled a wooden cupboard door out of a dumpster. I glued some paper and dried grass onto the old wooden cupboard door. The paper and dried grass stuck well to the wood. Elmer's glue is highly effective for gluing together two different things made from plant fibers, cellulose, wood, and/or paper. I once saw a YouTube video demonstrating blue-colored glue made in the middle east for stone lamps. Elmer's brand white-colored glue is very bad for gluing two pieces of stone, or rock, together. Please, do not use Elmer's glue for pieces of rock or stone.

forestturnings: After cutting down a tree, I seal each end of each log with Elmer's glue. I dries clear so that I can remember what variety of tree it is, and it prevents moisture loss through the ends of the wood fibers. Of course, the log must be kept out of the rain. Home Depot and Lowe's rarely have it in stock in the gallon size.

Webby: I remember when I was little my dad waited down the plastic chess pieces by first turning them over then pouring glue into them in three stages in order to let the glue cure. This is exactly what I did with a round plastic turntable I got for the 3-D rubber mat, which gives the whole turntable nice and solid and feels incredibly well-built. I do however need one more quart because the glue dries probably by at least half if not more.
