Kevin Kinnebrew: An incredibly unique and enlightening work. I know my country, the statesmen and our early struggles far better than any history class could. All this wrapped in a very personal and thought provoking manner. Highly recommended.

Robin: Enjoyable spin on historical figures. Brings history alive. Recommended reading for women's viewpoint. We're so often mere footnotes in historical accounts.

Amazon Customer: I was giving it 3 stars at most but feel it was saved by part four so bumped it up one. I struggled through the first half, finding the language overly Harlequin-esque but Eliza’s journey and contributions after Hamilton’s death were worth reading. I consider The Women of Chateau Lafayette to be a far better piece of historical fiction than this one. I have heard that the audiobook is really well done though. I may have liked it better had I gone that route.

Amazon Customer: Insightful use of historical times, giving feminine perspective of ordinary details during extraordinary events. I liked having some of the same characters in their other book, Jefferson's Daughter.

The Hamiltons joyfully celebrate the inauguration of George Washington, the nation’s first president. The two main political parties of the day are the Federalists, President Washington’s party, created largely by Alexander Hamilton, and the rival Republican party, formed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
The Hamiltons have several children and Eliza works hard as a wife and mother. Although many in high office have slaves, the Hamiltons firmly believe in the...

C.I.T: This book gives a great insight into Eliza - Elizabeth Hamilton and I loved it! The book is in 3 main parts and is very lengthy however I loved it was told from elizas 's point of view and I feel that Americas great political history is depicted her well while not focusing too much on politics. I am going to see Hamilton the musical and I am happy I have read this book before I go.
