Erwin: This is a good tool. Unfortunately for us, it's designed for larger pets. We're using it on a mid-sized cat and it's a bit big for her.

Thomas: I had brushed my dog the weekend before with a cheap dollar store brush before this one showed up and I thought I had got a lot of hair off my dog, but man I was wrong. I spent 10 minutes with this one and it I was astonished with how much more hair I got off my dog it really does a good job of shearing the lower coat. It made short work of getting my dogs old summer coat off.

Pascale: Great but our cat is not really liking it… it still pulls his hair and he doesn’t like that. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s already due for sharpening (I used it maybe 10 times). Also it’s tough to clean, because my cat has a lot of sebum and it’s accumulating on the little blades. But overall, we give our cat a little “convincing” brushing to untangle his hair and it works.

Smaurice: I bought this brush planning on using the smaller teeth, which Ive used before with good success. Turns out the curved larger teeth were the game changer ! Piles of hair easily came out and my dog seemed to enjoy it a lot more than the finer teeth Very happy with purchase and have already been recommending to friends and family

Amazon Customer: This new grooming tool is easy to hold, clean, & nothing less than ‘Awesome’!! It looked like a garden tool at 1st, but after using it on my long-haired cat, Precious, I surprisingly removed a large cat’s-size mound of hair ~ just from the 1st grooming!! I will soon send a picture. In add’n, Precious now prompts me with meows & purrs nearly ‘every day’ to massage & groom her! (I advise 1st massaging & messing the fur a bit, as it’ll allow the comb to grab more hair with the large part of the comb.) Bc it’s larger & heavier than most, I recommend being gentle while using it, esp. if your cat is an older senior as mine is. After the 1st few groomings, her fur was as soft as a rabbit’s, plus there’s nearly zero hairballs anymore (which was a worrisome medical problem, tho I’ve treated/fed her a hairball degreaser in a tube, as advised by my vet). I used to use a popular grooming tool that cost 2X as much, but it removed only appx 10% as much fur as this does (plus she didn’t bond, love, & adore me, the way she does now)!!!😻

CCWatters: It took a long time for me to realize how well this brush worked because I was afraid it was going to hurt our Retriever/pull her hair, so I avoided using it and used a less functional soft brush. I was wrong! The wide tooth side helps prep the coat for the fine tooth side ... which works amazing on pulling up all the shed hair that has left her skin--- but is stuck in all her fur just waiting to shed all over my house ---and does NOT hurt her at all. It works especially well after a bath when she is mostly dry but still just a tiny bit damp. It gets a hefty amount out that I will then consistently clean off the brush [into a damp paper towel] about 10-15 times during a brushing. I have no other brush of this kind that I have used to compare this to...so for now this is my favorite grooming brush that I feel does a great job on a 7 month old Retriever. She also sits perfectly still for it. it does not hurt her.

Tiinaj1Tiinaj1: I received this tool yesterday and wasn't sure my Lily would like it. I purchased it because she has a very full bushy coat and she always seems to be itchy and I'm also tired of the fur shedding all over the place. I'm hoping that by helping her shed some of the fur that she won't be so uncomfortable.

Like I said I wasn't sure if she would allow me to groom her. Lily actually has stayed in place for me and let me brush her with this tool. She does a great job keeping the mats and knots out of her fur but needed help with her undercoat. I've tried grooming her in the past and she would let me do it for a couple minutes and then she was done with it all.

She really seems to like the smaller comb (not the curved one) and I was able to remove quite a bit of her loose hair from her undercoat. I haven't tried to get her belly much yet altho I've tried to get the ruff under her chin. She just keeps butting my hand and I don't get much done there. Her coat is naturally very soft but now it feels more smooth and even and not quite as bushy. She has a LOT of fur lol.

I'm not sure why some people have said they have issues w this comb. The instruction do say it is NOT...

Rachel: OK everyone, if you’ve been looking for a brush for your dog for quite some time, look no more. I have a German Shepherd lab mix who has long hair. I’m always looking for a brush to get his undercoat. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve come across some brushes That worked well for me, however I felt that I was always brushing him and never getting all his hair. I decided to look on Amazon, because I’m always shopping on here anyways, for a brush that can get his undercoat and hopefully avoid any matting that could develop. I’m not kidding when I say this brush is amazing. I didn’t realize how much fur I could get off my dog until I started brushing him. I thought the brush would be smaller but it was the perfect size. He doesn’t hold still very well, but I was able to brush him and clean the brush easily. I didn’t have to tug the hair out or feel that I was losing grip on the handle. I’m glad I brushed him in the backyard because of how much I got off him. I highly recommend that if you’re looking for a brush that will get the undercoat that this is the best you should purchase because it’s so amazing and I’m so glad I bought it. M.M.M.M.: NEWFOUNDLAND DOG OWNERS, I bought this and have used it ONE whole time on our sweet, now fluffier Newf named Lila. My wife and I have tried every brush and comb known to mankind with dissatisfaction. I mean a little free time would be nice but when your fluff monsters need the kind of upkeep they do, brushing becomes something both you and your dog despise. NOT NO MO!!! Screw the fine bristle side, I haven’t even taken the cover off of that side because it will get you nowhere with a double coat dog. The little runty pug types can have that side and be very happy with their back scratch. But this de shedding had my dog literally jumping on me with excitement, or... yea, she’s fixed, so... just excitement. I knew we had found the grooming tool of the decade because we only spent 15 minutes doing a complete overhaul to pick up where the other grooming tools had failed, the excitement part from above, and we both didn’t come inside and lay in the corner to hold each other and cry after. Be gone hair, be gone. Not to mention, I’m really tired of all the hardwood sweeping messing with my golf swing during the winter so with my extra 45 minutes of free time... To the simulator...
