Electronic Bug Zapper Light Bulb - Boundery Bug Killer Lamp

Steve Ch: Took this camping twice, and yeah, it got a lot of bugs - mostly moths, but some flies and little mosquitoes too. The regular light bulb is great too - very bright. I think another review said it wasn't - but you have to press the on switch for that a few times to cycle through the brightness settings, and then it's good, and lasts hours (Lasted at least 3 - that's the longest I had it on). The bug light lasted at least 9 hours without recharge (that's the longest I had that on, don't know how much longer it would have lasted).

Imen Tebourbi: Doesn’t kill a single mosquito this in case that the device work , the second doesn’t even turn on I charged for 3 days , the problem that I didn’t have the change to use the device when I could return it because it did arrive late after my travel and when I had the chance to tried for my mom it didn’t kill a mosquito for the week even I saw a lot of them :(

JT: These are my new favorite camping gadget. Have used these on 3 recent camping trips and did not get a mosquito bite at all while using them around the fire at night. Actually went and purchased 2 more for myself and 2 for my sister as a gift. When using just the bug light they are not too bright but effective. The light part has various settings for brightness and can fully light up an area. (Too bright for me) Recently used them on a 2 night camping trip for about 6 hours each night with just bug light on and they still had more power. I actually left 1 on all night and it was still on in the morning. (about 14 hours) I place them around my chair that is in front of the fire pit. The only time I got a bug bite was in the morning when they were not on. I put them on during the morning and no more problems. They are silent, no zapping noise and when you need to clean them just rinse under water and done. Great addition to my camp gear.

Cindy MichalakCindy Michalak: Live in Southern Ontario. Bought these to take camping with us. Tried it out in the backyard to see if it actually works. I literally left it out all night to see what happened and to hopefully reduce the mosquito population in our backyard. This is what it looked like in the morning. I did the same the next night, at which point the battery died so needs to be recharged. The light on it is extremely bright so would be good for playing cards or doing dishes in the dark while camping. The UV light to attract mosquitoes is very dim but as you can see it obviously worked to attract the bugs at night to the lamp. I bought a two pack so will be bringing those camping this summer. Will write an update review when we return! I haven’t cleaned it yet and there are no instructions on how to do that so I will need to Google and watch some videos on that in the future….

Kody: Kills lots of bugs, light is bright, holds a charge for a long time, but pain in the butt to clean bugs out, would buy again, this is the best portable bug zapper I’ve owned.

Long Time Amazon CustomerLong Time Amazon Customer: I had 2 Garden Line bug zapper/lights exactly like this and wanted more, but couldn't find them on Amazon. So, I bought two of these by Boundery. All four work great!! Anyone who is having problems with them not catching mosquitoes I recommend to leave them turned on longer. I turn them on an hour or two before I come outside to my happy place. The battery is long lasting. Ours last through the night! The charge is easy. Nice light with 3 brightnesses. You can sit it flat or hang with the loop or hook almost anywhere. Clean up is amazingly easy. I clean them outside under the hose. They come squeaky clean & still work great! If you hate mosquitoes you will love this zapper/light!
I don’t know if you can see it in the second picture or not, but they light up red when charging green when complete. Helpful feature.

MoviebuffMoviebuff: These make nice little camping lanterns for inside a tent or out in the carport but are pretty much worthless as bug zappers. The mosquitos in our area of Texas are awful this year and I was really keeping my fingers crossed, hoping these would work to help keep me from getting ate alive. Nope, I'm still getting bit.
The lanterns are easy to charge with the included mini USB cables, but be aware that they do NOT come with a plug, you will have to use one from your phone or if you have an outlet strip with USB ports in it, that works too. But it is pretty slow, takes quite a while to charge. As long as it's only in bug zapper mode, with the light turned off, it will hold the charge for about 6 hours.
I do like how bright the light is and that it has three settings for the brightness level. The buttons are a bit hard to find when you fumble in the dark. The hook is handy to hang these up like lanterns or you can fold the hook down and place the unit on a table top.
Overall rating of 3 stars because for just using them as a camping light, it's not worth it for the price. If it would have actually worked to kill mosquitos as advertised it would have been...

Doug: This lamp does work as described in the product description, but doesn't seem to do the job as advertised. Mine did not attract flies and mosquitoes, fruit flies or gnats. The light is adequate but not really bright.
Also, the on-off switches are very difficult to find, especially in the dark. I would not purchase this product again.

James T.: I bought 2 Boundary Bug Zapper Light Bulbs . I've used one outside in carport and one inside in different rooms. They both zapped a number of bugs to include small moths. In the house it got a lot of the "gnats". The remains are too small to tell if any are mosquitos. The Zapper is not as efficient as I would like. I've had one on across the room from me and still buzzed by a mosquito. I've used in bedroom with inconsistent results, also. But will say it has reduced the mosquitoes at times inside. The Zapper outside in carport got some mosquitoes, but i still was harassed by them while sitting there. The Zapper outside was about 10-15 feet away from me. I even had a citronella candle burning at my feet. Maybe just too many hungry mosquitoes in that area. I'll continue to use them for the amount it does work on. It does good on the gnats. Being rechargeable is a benefit. They will run many hours with the zapper and low light setting.

*If I could read Chinese it would've been helpful also. The item came in a box which was not in english & no instructions in english as advertised.
It also does not hold charge for a long time.

The only useful purpose it would serve as, would be to use it as a light.
