So I bought this in December 2018, it is August 2021 and it finally died. I really liked it when it worked. I liked that I had control of the speed and direction of the drill. The only thing I didnt like is dust seemed to get in the motor pretty easy, but I just used canned air to blow it out after each use.

I run outside 3-4 days/week, and, despite trying different shoes, many of my toenails are thickened. I learned this is because of the repeated pressure on the nail, not a fungus or something that can be treated. That said, I purchased this to buff down my thickened nails so I can paint over them without it looking crazy. It works perfectly and is much more manageable than manually filing them down (what I was doing before). I also use this to buff away the cuticle and buff around my toes - pumice stones and foot files can't really get around those toes. For $20, you really can't get any better. A tip: you may want an extension cord handy, as the cord is fairly short and you might struggle finding a good spot to buff.

This E-File is PERFECT for beginners! Like many of you, because of COVID I dove into the world of DIY-ing my nails & buying this machine has made that even easier! I recommend buying additional drill bits because the ones they give you, aside from one, will not work with acrylic. This would be fine on it’s own if you are planning to only use on your natural nail.
