R & J SentmanR & J Sentman: This review is being written on 11/5/2020 specifically about the “Eksahol” branded “RV Propane | Natural Gas, Gas Leak Detection Home Gas Alarm, High Sensitivity LPG LNG Coal Natural Gas Leak Detection, Alarm Monitor Sensor for Motorhome | Camper | Maring (12v)” device. Amazon tends to group reviews together incorrectly and there is obviously some confusion in the reviews I’ve read of this product. This version does not just output a 12v signal when gas is detected as some have mentioned. There may be others that do. Inside the case in the picture I have posted you can see the relay as the little orange box in the lower lefthand corner of the board. The sticker on the back also shows that the 3 wires coming out from that are for normally open or normally closed alarm systems so given that this should be able to be integrated into any standard alarm system or used to sound a larger siren elsewhere or the relay just ignored completely if you don’t need that. You’ll also see on the board a pretty standard looking gas detector device (the black circle with the screen over it’s inlet) and the super loud piezo buzzer which is the larger black device without anything...

Carlo: I needed a gas leak detector to monitor my gas dryer in the laundry room. This one is a plug-in type ready to use. Depending on the type of gas it should be mounted close to the ceiling or close to the floor (the instructions describe the required installation). In my case I had to place it close to the ceiling and therefore I installed an AC outlet in that position. Obviously it would have also been possible to run an extension chord to that position. The digital display shows the presence of gas in numerical format: 0,1, 2, and so on. It has a self test and an alarm. Easy to use and install.
