teamjtteamjt: They seem like solid pedals if not a bit stiff out of the box. I'll see if they loosen up a bit more after riding. The purple color is a deep rich color. A lot of plastic pedals have a washed out quality to the color.

As a bike mechanic I was surprised by the reviews claiming that the pedals aren't marked for which side they go on. As I suspected this is not true. They do not have "L" and "R" on the spindle, but that isn't uncommon with pedals. They do have a line impressed on one of the spindles, and that is the left pedal. This is a common way to indicate the left side. The other way is to have the left pedal spindle serrated with lines between the wrench flats (more common on lower end pedals). I understand that if you aren't a bike mechanic you might not see enough pedals to figure this out, and it might look like there is no way to tell the difference.

For now I'm putting up a 4 star review for how stiff they are, but I will change that depending on how they break in.

Samee S: I love these pedals. Recently bought my first mountain bike after many years... and while I love the bike, the stock pedals from the shop sucked. I realize it's because most riders want to swap out theirs... and now I get it.
Installing them was simple... I used a pedal wrench to remove the stock ones, and then spun these in to the crank arms with a Hex Key... ensured they were tight and off I went.
They performed amazingly. I was surprised at how well they stuck to my feet. I instantly felt like the bike was now an extension on me which gave me so much more confidence in tackling the daunting climbs.
For the price, even if they were to fall apart after a few months, which I doubt (the build quality seems pretty solid) I would be happy to replace them with another set.
The blue is a nice accent to my concrete grey bike!

Rolo VRolo V: I put 50+ miles on these pedals with speeds ranging between 12-19 mph on my first ride. Grip very well, move very smoothly with no noise to speak of. I weigh about 250 lbs and put some serious torque on them going up and down hills and didn't feel like I would break them—a good deal for the price.

Though the product picture shows an emerald green, it's more of a lime green color. They match a lot better with my bike.

look: The only thing I don't like about this is the color. I got this for a white unicycle. Blue pedals on a white unicycle!

The only other option was green. Green pedals on a white unicycle!

I think Red was an option but it went away when I decided to place the order.

Other than the color, this was a good purchase. solid pedals and not expensive.

chrispychrispy: Light and sturdy pedals. Great color, too. I really like the studs that grip my feet and keep them from slipping. I also like that the studs are easy to replace should I ever need to.
