reeeeeviewer: Followed the directions precisely. Spent a good amount of time on the measurements, actually. I wanted it really neat.
Well, it's not possible to install because the screws are too small for the holes they tell you to drill. The unit won't stay in the wall.
Now I have several holes in my rental unit wall for no reason thanks to Dial.
It seemed like it's impossible to mess up something so simple, but somehow they did. Since it seemed impossible to mess up I figured I could order it well in advance from when I move. I wasn't sure exactly when I'd move but I wasn't worried about being within a return window.
Amazon couldn't do anything as a result so I reached out by email from the email on their site and the email bounced. The email they have listed is incorrect. I called to inform them of this and they didn't care. Also wanted to resolve the issue and get money back for the faulty product. The Asian immigrant couldn't speak English well and wasn't actually making much sense or answering my questions. She eventually told me that someone would contact me back, but they never did.
Useless product. Useless company. Too bad I'm out this money and can't...

Aubrey Alan Ashley: So i have now had this can crusher in use for about 9 months almost, and i absolutely love it. If you dont have enough money to get a air powered/electric one then this is a great step down from that. It works like a charm and is way better than the traditional wall mounted options where you can only load one can in at a time and it has to be hand removed after its crushed, with this one you can load up 10-12 cans at a time or something and the cans automatically fall out of the crush chamber once they are crushed and if you have a collection bin sat below to catch them then its very nice to use. However there is one apparent flow with this machine, so the whole thing is made out of some sort of sturdy plastic and inside the crush chamber while in use will get slick with the sticky soda coming out of the cans and what happens after a while is that the can begin to slip out of the crush chamber and be launched from out of the bottom of the machine without even being fully crushed. So what i had to do to fix this issue was take a piece of sand paper and super glue it to the back part of the crush chamber where the cans get pressed against it and it helps hold them in place to be...

J. Mark Madge: Wasn’t to sure about this as my old can crusher was metal. But alas it broke so I ordered this on. Though not metal, it is sturdier than I thought. Easy to install. I suggest gentle assembling of the “cage” that holds the cans for crushing as the tabs could easily be broken if not careful. I didn’t have a problem but I did it slowly. It holds more cans than my old one and crushes them nicely. They easily fall from the Shute without jamming. My old one was always jamming up at the can drop so I give this one a big thumbs up. Just know it is not metal so if your gentle with it it will do the job!

TommyCanada: It works, but I'm afraid it won't last long. It's all plastic and doesn't seem to be very solid ir sturdy.
Time will tell.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I read some of the other reviews on this product. Some say it is flimsy, I ve mounted it to a sturdy location, it works just fine. The top rack doesn't need to be stronger for any reason if also mounted properly. I like this product and expect many years of use

Edward Miller: The Dial M92 Can Crusher. there were two in the shipping box. The preassembled Ram portion of the can crusher was assembled wrong. To crush a can, you have to apply an upward stoke instead downward stroke. You would soon break the handle because the ram does not lay flat in tray portion of the travel the ram. The way it is how both of machines are not usable.

Tony G: The media could not be loaded. Compare this design to any other can crusher designs.
This one has a hopper, an ejector, and uses a pull up force which is the easiest form of work in terms of efficiency.
Yes, it is plastic, and it seems flimsy. That was my initial criticism.
However, after installing it and using it, that criticism has changed. It's plastic, so it will not rust or stain from moisture in the cans. Really, plastic is better for that reason.
The hopper seems flimsy, but it works great. It doesn't need to be stiff, sturdy, or metal... It's just a hopper.
This is a product worth buying two of.
It's cheap and is the most simple and efficient design available.
Mount it at waist height, with a small bucket or bin, and enjoy all that extra recycling bin space.

DB: this item is exactly what I was looking for. We should have gotten the one without the can holder though as we don't use. Also we modified it to mount on a wooden chair as I didn't want to start putting holes in the wall (for a garage it would be great). Mounting on the chair will allow us to move it outside in the summer time. I would definitely recommend this unit if you go thru a lot of aluminum cans. Assembly was very straight forward and easy to put together.

kelly Tyson: Was missing a screw. All the screws and rods that i did get were loose in the box, the baggy was open. Also has been up for less than a month and the screws that came with it broke. The heads are in the crusher and the screw poles are still in my deck.
The cage is not sturdy at all.
I also wish it took larger cans like monster cans.
I like that this is easier to use than its metal counterpart, but for the price i thought the hardware would be better.
