L.J.: It can be easy to forget to exfoliate your body but not when you have this loofah! In the beginning it is quite hard though, but don’t let that discourage you, over time as you use it it does soften up. You’ll also know when it’s time to replace it as it gets too soft and doesn’t exfoliate much anymore. Happy with purchase and will continue to repurchase.

JJ: This brand ecotools is worth the extra cash. I tried the cheaper ones very disappointed. The ecotools brand is thicker and firmer for a good grip and scrub.

Michael: I love it, it's different from other bath sponges in the sense that it removes those parts of the skin that other softer sponges wouldn't, which leads to healthier skin.

J. Wilson: This loofah is great, but it takes time for it to get there.

1. For the first week this loofah is rough and scratchy. Seriously scratchy. I've always been fond of 'scratchy' soaps with exfoliating particles and nubs and such, but this thing takes it a level beyond. It can be uncomfortable.

However, bear with it, and it seems to "break in" and reach a good level of exfoliating 'roughness' without being uncomfortable or irritating.

2. The rope is attached oddly. It goes through the center, but then through the side as well. Even after the loofah was broken in, I found it annoying when it would turn in such a way that I was rubbing the rope on my skin. Fortunately, the knot came loose pretty quickly, at which point I decided to take it out of the side, and leave it just running through the middle. I figured it might not be strong enough, and might tear out, but I could easily make another hole and reattach it.

So far, it's held just fine in the center. It doesn't weigh much, and there's never any reason to be tugging on the rope, so the material is plenty strong. Next one, I'll untie the rope and change this immediately.

Maryam: I read all the reviews before ordering this loofah sponge. According to the reviews, I thought I'm getting a rough loofah, which won't become soft easily. However, after opening the package I realized right away that this loofah is much softer than all my previous loofahs!!! In addition, after using it only once, it started to fall apart!!! I am very disappointed and won't buy this product again!

DVS: First loofah I have ever bought. I find this one to feel great. Some of the reviews say it is too rough. I didn't find that. The trick is to get it wet enough. It is a great value.

Nadine E Phillips: I was a bit disappointed with I used this loofah, I am quite a big eco tools fan I have many of their makeup brushes and shower mop. I must say though I would not buy this product if it was more than £2, it's quite a tough material that does not softened when wet, this makes the loofah quite difficult to use.

For the reasons listed above I would not recommend this product

Linh L.: This Loofah is perfect, it is not so rough that I can't stand to use it and it does a nice job exfoliating. Even wet it's still a bit rigid though so it's a little hard to squeese excess water out of it but that may change after a few uses.
