Chris52782: Just what I needed! Works well! Build quality is a 3/5. It functions great, but I can already tell that I'm gonna have to replace it in a year or so, unless I get a tight fitting cover for it. The hinge point is definitely a weak point.

I’ve been needing a spare key for some time because my ex stole my spare one, then the spring in the button that opens and closes my original key stopped working properly when I tried to close it. So annoying! So I did what I always do when I need something, which is check Amazon first! Lol! Anyway, I got these for around $20, then went to my local Ace Hardware where they cut them for $2 each! The guy did warn me that these HAVE to be programmed, and he couldn't do it, and POP-A-Lock quoted me over $180!! But after a few google searches I found an article that allowed me to program these MYSELF!! Literally took me 10 seconds to program both keys! I’m super excited and happy! Now, I did read reviews that these do STOP working after a couple weeks/months. So, I will be updating this review if that happens to me. But for now, I’m enjoying having a key that works properly, having 2 back-ups (including my spring-damaged original), and spending that $180 I saved by doing this on something I really want to buy! 😆

TheReubenator: FOBs arrived in good shape and quick. Got them programed with no problems BUT after using one for a week it just stopped working - no doors unlock or lock and the trunk won't open either. I replaced the battery and had it reprogramed but still nothing worked. So I started using the second one in the set and experienced the exact same failure mode - 1 week all worked fine, and then it suddenly failed just like the first one.
I think these are defective and are being sold without revealing they really are JUNK. I am very disappointed and will see if I can get my money back.

NickNick: Works perfectly on my 2010 Camaro! Just make sure that the part numbers match up. Also call around before heading to the dealer to get it cut. First Chevy dealer in town I called told me he could cut it, then when I mentioned I bought it on Amazon he gave me a line of BS line saying it "ruins their machine if it's aftermarket". Second GM dealer said "Yes no problem...I don't know how it could ruin a machine. Bring them in... we only charge $10/key". I removed the blades and took them in. Took him 10 minutes and he did it for FREE. Took me 3 minutes to put them back together, and 30 seconds to program both of them. From what I read dealers charge anywhere from $150-$200 PER KEY! I spent $23 on BOTH...so happy.
