EBL 8-Pack Rechargeable AA Batteries and 8-Bay Ni-Zn Battery Charger - 3000mWh Capacity

Mark S.: I bought one of these sets about a year ago. My teenage son uses them in his Xbox controller. I used to buy the 60-pack AA alkaline disposables, he would go through them like crazy. Now he cycles through 6 of the 8 these, swapping them out when his controller dies. They still work great, recharge fine, last quite a while.

The other two went into my electric toothbrush. I figured I would have to change them more often than the alkaline kind,, but would save money in the long run. Instead, I have not had to swap them out for charging after almost a year in daily use. It's nuts! But true, at least for me anyway.

AL: The charger is nice that it can charge a single battery. It did not come with power supply so you have to use your own USB type power supply. The batteries that came with are long lasting I have a candle light on 24/7 and it's still on 7 days already. I would recommend this product.

aaron Merrill: These batteries charge up and work well out of the package - very impressed with the run time! Because of such a long run time, I have only charged them twice so far - they lasted a whole season in my trail camera.- unfortunately, three of the batteries showed errors and would not charge for a third time. I was able to try again a few times and get another to charge, but I still have 2 dead ones. My trail camera takes 8, so it is now out of commission. The power output is great, runtime is long, but only charging 2 times before not accepting a charge is pretty bad - can you really sell them as 'rechargeable' batteries? I may try them again at some point because i like the idea of the battery tech and no Lithium, and they work so well when charged. Maybe I just got some that slipped quality control?

Beavis Comeavis: The major advantage to these batteries is They have a higher initial voltage vs NiMh and even regular alkaline batteries. I bought this so I could put the batteries in toy RC cars. It turned a slow $11 RC car into a zany crashmeister with more power than what they intended and it didn’t even break it. I put it in another larger RC car and it certainly gave it way more power. Is this recommended by the manufacturer? Probably not but if my $11 car burns out, I have already got my moneys worth.

I also put these into a decent headlamp I use outside in the dark. It was super bright and worked great.

Just keep in mind their are issues with these batteries (supposedly) in terms of longevity and I knew that going into it. I have used them for probably 20 charge cycles over the last 2 months. No issues so far. I charge them immediately after use, so they might help. Not sure.

It is hard to buy more of these batteries since no one makes them anymore (last I heard). But hey, I’m riding the end of the wave and when it’s over I’ll probably switch to lithium rechargeables. Those have a 1.5 initial voltage, so that’s pretty good. But I love the 1.6 these NiZn...

Mark I.: Bought 24 of these batteries with 4 chargers in Dec 2022. Charge them with USB 5V 3 Amp chargers. Used them in Vocopro Digital Mics. The Vocopro mics do not like these batteries and will not work with them. (They work fine with the Kratax 3500mWH batteries however). So the EBL's were used for other devices like flashlights, etc. 7 out of 24 batteries are now dead. They do not last long. In any of the chargers I get only flashing red leds on these 7. They measure 0VDC. Not very reliable. Is there any warranty on the batteries?
EDIT June 28,2023...EBL sent me 8 new batteries and they seem to hold a charge, however 2 more have since also failed. They were used in a portable CD Player and can no longer be charged. These batteries do not last. Happy that EBL sent new replacements, but still have to say 9 out of 24 have failed. Not good. If EBL wants I'll send the 9 batteries back to them for evaluation. - Mark

EDIT Aug 14,2023 They refunded me $$$. Have to say the company is trying to keep a customer satisfied, however this product is still faulty. Perhaps they will improve the product eventually. In the meantime I can only use these batteries for flashlights and they do not...
