jimmySeaZ: I received charger and batteries in two days. Hooked up mid day on arrival and charged first set of 8 batteries. In morning next day all were fullly charged. Loaded next 8 batteries in morning and when I checked in evening those were fully charged. So far very pleased. I have candles n many puck lights which I use these batteries in. I will see how they hold charge in these devices.

Bethany: With the holidays approaching and kids galore to buy presents for....this is a must have! Batteries are EXPENSIVE now. This set comes with 8 AA and 8 AAA, as well as the charger. It's designed to where either AA or AAA can fit in any of the slots and charges up to 8 at a time. The batteries themselves come in little plastic holders that hold 4 each. I charged all of them and stored them back in the containers so that there are plenty on hand for the basic use of testing out toys and products when received before wrapping them up. They have held up great with their charge so far and luckily the kids are all the age now where we don't need to keep batteries constantly in everything, just switch them out when it's the toy of the week/day. Note that there are some electronics that do not function correctly with rechargeables so make sure you're reading instructions with whatever you're using these for if you notice something stopped working just a couple of hours after putting them in.

Doris Van: I wish that it had an auto shutoff when the batteries are charged, but I will just be careful to not charge when I am not home. It was also difficult to insert the plug into the charger but after seeing another user's comments, I found that if I pushed really hard, I could get a good connection.

paradoxes: UPDATE: I received a new charger from the company and it's excellent- upgrading my rating to 5 stars and would buy from them again!

The batteries seem fine so far, but we apparently got a bad charger. Charging takes anywhere from 12-16 hours, and it seems to be dependent on which slots they're in. It's a bit annoying waiting that long for a recharge.

Mike RyanMike Ryan: Nice Charger...Fast charging and comes with 16 batteries: 8 AA's, 8 AAA's NiMh. I charged all 8 AA's in 2.5 hours using a PPS...Still charging the AAA's....Will update the review with charge time.

Only issue: the power cord connector does not seat well in the charger...charger power 'well' is shallow and the connector doesn't really seat...i.e. the female end is not deep enough for the male connector to 'snugly' fit. Design advice: make either the male end shorter or the female 'well' deeper in order to get a tight fit.

(yeahh I know sounds very NSFW but I don't know any other way to describe the issue!)

Good value for the price point esp. with the 16 included batteries. Just be mindful of the connector issue.

REVIEW UPDATE: OK so major brain short circuit here...the connector is actually OK...I just had to really push the connector to get it to seat correctly to the charger. Once seated, charging was done in about 2.5 hours for both the AA's and the AAA's.

So I will recommend this EBL CHARGER W/ BATTERIES!
