Easily Sift Through Litter with Petmate's Simple Sifting Scoop

Katie Potts: If all the slits were the same size as the front ones this would be a greasy scoop. Unfortunately the slits in the back cause my clay litter to not sift properly and ends up causing a mess if I don’t vigorously shake the litter out before depositing in a bag. It is however a nice sturdy scooper but I wouldn’t recommend for clay litter.

MJ O.: Love the way it gets into corners and the bottom of the box. Sifts out all but the smallest of particulates. Longer handle means less bending over--a good thing. Comfortable handle. The one issue I have is that excess clean litter collects at the back of the scoop and it has no place to exit. I get that the design makes it sturdier but without slots back there, you end up tossing a small amount of clean litter with each scoop. Never measured how much but you do notice it and it's annoying and wasteful. I generally end up shaking the scoop, but as a result sometimes dumping used litter back into the pan. Not a huge issue, but the design could be tweaked a bit for the perfect scoop!

M Beltran: Ciertamente esta pala es de buen tamaño, tiene los espacios reducidos, de modo que recoge partículas más pequeñas (no tanto), pero es plana, lo cual dificulta levantar los desperdicios. Sirve, pues, pero si fuera un poco más curva (y tuviera una rejilla aún más cerrada) sería la pala ideal.

A: Honestly, I was skeptical about spending $20 on a lottery scoop, but holy moly... it was worth it!
I couldn’t stand my cheap scoop... chunks fell through and every time I needed to scoop something heavy or ‘caked on,’ I’d worry about it snapping. This is easy to use, catches a the little bits and I have no worries about the durability. Phew!

Anna Baesso: Have used this for a week and it's worked great so far. Seems sturdy, not much bend to it. Nice long handle so you don't have to bend as much. The back portion of slits are smaller than the rest so you can *finally* pick up the small pieces you never would be able to get with the vast majority of other scoops.

Will mention the first scoop I got came damaged (broken and scraped plastic), but Amazon sent me a replacement right away.

Nancy: I have 3 jumbo litter boxes for my 3 cats so I needed a scoop with strong tines that could move large amounts of litter without bending at the handle. This one is perfect. It has a sturdy handle that doesn't flex and feel like it's going to break at any moment. I've previously been using Litter Lifters but they have weak tines that break so I was replacing scoops too often. This scoop feels much stronger when scooping and so far ..... the tines are showing no wear. I've also noticed that very rarely does anything stick to this scoop (unlike the litter lifters) and if it does, it can easily be shaken off. The handle is also much more comfortable. This scoop makes clean up go much faster. I'm happy with this purchase.

S.E.T.: This scooper works extremely well to remove the clumps in a large litter box. However the tiniest pieces will sift through and end up back in the litter box like they do with all other scoopers. I use clumping litter and have found that the litter and clumps do not stick in the tines of this scooper and if they do, just wack it on the edge of the littler box a few times.

Amazon KundeAmazon Kunde: I bought this scoop because the original one was not good enough for my cat litter, I needed something with finer slots to filter small clumps.
At first I was shocked with the size of this scoop, I didn't expect it to be this big! On the photo you can see it compared to the standard scoop that went together with litter box. Being bigger than I imagined, this scoop has larger holes than I thought it would. But it turned out that the size is an advantage, I can sieve whole toilet in just 2-3 movements :) And the slots are fine enough to filter small clumps too. So 5 stars to it.
