James lauerJames lauer: Wow this was a surprise, this is one beefy/hefty piece and I dig it.

I like the feel of the materials and the sculpted D2 blade is beautiful.

My 2nd eafrangrow piece and will be getting some more soon, solid build, D2 blades and Uber fast delivery.

Firpo: Ordered the knife but was concerned about the negative reviews. Here’s what I found Sharp Blade, Blade is Centered, Blade is very sharp, Blade flips open like butter and closes one handed. What we have here is a Microtech Socom and a whole lot cheaper.

Lainey8888: The knife I received has been great, arrived sharp, oiled, and came with assembly/disassembly tool. A little big at times for easy carry but a great value and build for price. Seems to be solidly built, liner lock is solid, shows no signs of releasing or failing as some other reviews had stated and shown examples of so far. However the fact that the steel liner does not seem to be attached to lower section of g10 scales may become an issue after hard use. My only real complaint is the thumb studs, they work really well for opening, but have slightly sharp edges on triangle studs, and are just wide enough that they drag on my pocket interior placing and removing knife. I wear fairly relaxed fit work pants, and the thumb studs still wear through the pocket liners, and grab on the way out of pocket. A little work with a die grinder or replacing thumb studs should correct the issue. Overall mine has been a great knife and value.

Joel S.: I want sure what to expect of this Microtech inspired design considering the low price but it looked good in the pics so I took a chance on it. There are some really nice parts about it but there are also some shortcomings that ruin it for me. On the plus side, the knife is a good size bordering on too large and heavy for comfortable daily carry. The sculpted layered G10 handle is a highlight. It’s good looking and extremely comfortable with useful jimping in several areas. Unfortunately this is where the comfort ends. The pocket clip is mediocre at best. It comes overly tight which is good as it doesn’t come with the tool needed to remove it. The swooping organic shape doesn’t match the design language of the knife and the high polished finish doesn’t go well with the subdued brushed of the rest of the knife. Finally, the fancy triangle tipped security screws that are copied from Microtech and attach the clip protrude painfully far and are extremely sharp and unfinished. The tool that came with the knife only works on the larger triangle head screws but not these annoying little ones. My example came with a perfectly centered blade that is sharp enough to shave with...

Joseph LeDux: I've had this knife and have been using it for about six months now. When I first received it, I was a little concerned because it was extremely stiff on opening, and the deep groove on the blade kept catching the tip of one of my fingers every time I tried to open it. Which meant I had a difficult time opening it one handed. On the other hand, when it locks open it LOCKS with an audible *clunk* and there was no give or play in the joint at all.

With use, the knife loosened up considerably, in that it became much easier to open. Now I can flick it open one handed as quickly as any of my folders. Once it loosened up, I was a little concerned that there wasn't enough friction to keep the knife from opening in my pocket. But there's something about the blade geometry or the lock design that keeps it pretty securely shut until you decide to flick it open. I even looked in it to see if there was a ball-bearing detent or something, but I couldn't find anything to indicate how this is accomplished. It's a mystery but it works.

The joint itself did NOT loosen up in the sense of lateral give or wobbliness and it still locks like a bank vault. You could drive this thing...
