Dyson Ball Animal 3 Upright Vacuum Cleaner - Perfect for Pet Owners

Kari T: This sweeper is amazing. This suction is unbelievably strong. It does not do well with high pile carpets or rugs. Med, to low pile and hard woods are perfect for this machine. The locking mechanism to stand the sweeper up is AWFUL, basically get to the point where your dragging it around instead of wheeling it. I do recommend this sweeper with households who have pet's. It most certainly gets the job done, with 9 attachments to help get areas you wouldn't be able to.

StlouisCards#13: Long cord, large container, excellent suction, excellent maneuverability, transitions easily from floor to carpet without hassle (have not used on shag carpet), easy empty, easy assembly. I have a Great Pyr & a Leonberger so the house goes from hairy, leaves, pine needles, sand/dirt & anything else we bring in from outside to looking like a new house & no notion that there are 2 large very hairy dogs living here.

The only negatives I would mention is no light & does not go under all furniture.

Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives. As someone who goes through a vacuum every year, I highly recommend the Dyson Ball Animal 2. Here's hoping this Dyson goes way past that year!!

Pasadena Girl: This vacuum is overall a great performer. The suction is great although I found out it won't vacuum some of my lightweight throw rugs so I use the upholstery attachment--it sucks the rugs up and won't easily go over them. There is no way to adjust the suction which is a major design flaw.. It picks up dog and cat hair and everything else very well. However, who designed this clunky, heavy vacuum? I am pretty strong but I sometimes struggle with it's maneuverability. The attachments are many but it is difficult to use any of them as the suction is so great, it seems to pull the rubber hose back into the machine. Another reason to have some ability to adjust the suction. I will probably only use them occasionally. I'm pleased with the vacuum performance on hardwood floors for basic vacuuming so I will keep it.

Leah Houser: Let me just start by saying I poured over a ton of reviews of different Dyson models before buying, and on finally deciding on this one (Animal 3), was *hoping* the negative reviews weren’t huge red flags. I’ll get specific with my skepticism in this review as it would’ve helped me when shopping. The listing I purchased from was for Animal 2, Animal 3, and Animal 3 Extra models, and comparing basically ALL reviews for the 3 models, I chose Animal 3 and I’m glad I did.

First: the bad reviews stating this vacuum won’t go on thick carpet ALMOST had me convinced not to buy it. Even Dysons site has multiple bad reviews stating the same, more bad than good on their own website! I’m happy to report I have zero issue with this with my shaggy, thick, plush carpets. If it’s on either of the carpet settings it moves just fine. Adjust your vacuum and go.

I’d had a ball Dyson in the past, and I didn’t love it. This was another hesitation. The swivel/ball mechanism on my previous one was loose and flowy, but this meant the thing would curve around just when I was trying to push it straight. This Animal 3 does not do that. It’s a bit tighter,...

Jim Pratt: Why is this company still allowed to sell this product on Amazon? - I purchased this vacuum over a year ago and sent it straight back, the reasons are as follows:- The picture shows a brand new, blue, Animal 2 Total Clean, (It's also described as this) - Well, it's NOT! It's NOT new, it's NOT blue, and it's NOT an Animal 2 Total Clean, instead, it's second hand, grey and purple, and god knows what model it is! How can a company be allowed to sell something this way? Further more, the description does not apply to the vacuum supplied - It is NOT self adjusting, it does NOT come with extra tools in a storage bag, cord length is NOT 35ft and it does NOT include a 5 year warranty! Surely it is criminal to sell goods this way! Although I sent it straight back, I had to pay postage costs. I am now disgusted to see that Mr Dyson are still advertising this vacuum on Amazon over year after I sent mine back. Shame on you Amazon!

Amazon Customer: All round, an excellent vacuum cleaner. It does the job well and is easily manageable and manoeuvrable, though some lighter, cable free machines are easier to use on stairs. It was easy to assemble and is easy to use and empty. Altogether, I am very pleased with it.
