Rookie528: For an inexpensive fishing rod, the quality is excellent. Amazon needs to learn how to package these. Don't put a 6' rod loose in an 8' x 6" x 6" box... with no packing. Cardboard tubes are a better option.

Jamie Vila: Been an ugly stick fan forever. Not the same as in the 90's but they haven't failed me yet. Can't beat the price.
Now, that being said, Amazon gets a zero for this shipment. They were supposed to get all three items sent at the same time. That's why I agreed to have the pole shipped sat and not Friday. So MAJOR FAIL on shipping. You don't get credit for the product. Only Ugly does.

Amazonian: One of the best value/Price rod. I have many fishing rods. This one is for everyday. I compared it with my Kastking. They both have different elements that makes one better then the other. This one works very well for trolling aswell.

Lisa De Costa: The rod is a little heavier than a graphite rod but has the backbone to land the larger fish.

Landis Blackwell: Pros: Works well and is of quality construction.
Cons: Not as comfortable as some other rods. The handle could be ~3 inches longer for two handed casting
As far as the comfort, I only really notice it when I'm walking to the water.
For the handle length, it's still very workable.
If there were only one of these cons I would have given it a 5 star. I still almost did. My only regret is that I ever bought a nicer rod because otherwise I would not know the difference.
