CanLuda: I bought five of these. Yes -- you read that right - 5! Why? Because as a special education teacher who creates targeted programs for students with exceptionalities these are going to be incredibly useful for creating pocket charts for each student that targets their needs rather than doing one common chart that shoots for the middle of the audience and isn't as effective for anybody. The price was great when compared to other products and with the alphabet, beginning sound images and sight words the value increased! As a busy teacher, anything that can save me a bit of prep time is ideal.

sharon k johnson: We needed a table-sized pocket chart for homework. This works well. I also liked the dry erase writing strips. They came in so handy for quick fine tuning when teaching.

Erin CooperErin Cooper: Despite this being made for classroom as dry erase board thing for teachers this worked really great for me as a sticker display at my outdoor vending events. I was having trouble finding a solution that worked well outside with high winds. I got some clear plastic displays meant for business cards but they STILL fell over in the wind and my stickers got scattered causeing me to panic! However this was perfect! I just put some heavy rocks in the tent bottom and the clear plastic pockets kept my stickers in place even in the wind and yet made them visable and easy to get to for potential customers! I only wish the pockets were a bit deeper to make me feel more secure XD but really nothing flew away and it was pretty windy at my last event so I think they are sufficient!

morgan edwards: I will use it but I'll have to be creative as this is a lot smaller than I expected. I was hoping for something big enough that you could actually sit 2 kids on either side of a table to work on it, it doesn't reach even half way across. Disappointed. Pockets are half the height I thought they would be. If this was different times I would return it and shop around more. That being said I will be checking out scholastic before making a final decision.

MFanMFan: I have a preschool aged child who doesn’t actually learn anything at school (mind blowing, right!?! What am I paying for exactly? Oh right, crummy snacks and some playtime at a park...). But I digress. I needed a pocket chart for some home schooling activities and don’t have the room for something large and didn’t want to spend too much money on something that might not have worked for my kid (we’re talking 3 yr old here, likes and dislikes change before breakfast is over). I’ve put this chart board to good use and here are my findings:

1. When open, it stands 12 inches high which is a good height for desk or table top use, even for a very young child.

2. It folds in the bottom center and appears to just be cardboard or card stock or something inside to keep its form. It is very lightweight and folds easily but can be a little flimsy in the standing up. If you were really playing around or moving it, it could potentially collapse. However, it’s definitly sturdy enough that you can use it regularly and it stays in place just fine. My 2 and 3 yr old both use it without knocking it over.

3. The pockets have held up in place even with my little ones...
