Ouchmahnose: It claims 100N or 22lb of restrictive force, but I can pull the bar out of the strut with zero effort. Maybe I got a broken set, but they pop and crackle as if there's a seal broken internally. The fact that they are twenty dollars is mind blowing because I purchased ones accidentally from another company for eight dollars and they are FAR superior.

These hinges proved to be robust and effectively secure the doors.
Even a single hinge on one side of the other door performs well.
A bit pricey, but justifies it with the reliable and robust performance received.

John C.: I am building a floating TV entertainment center, with 15' x 30" solid Oak doors opening downward. I needed to prevent the doors from accidentally slamming open and at the same time prevent them from over-extending. These gas spring hinges are perfect for the job, The installation was a breeze once I had measured out where the top and bottom hinges needed to be placed. Note, standard door hinges are required as well. The description of the product can be misleading. I prefer 'gas struts'.... but what's in a name? They get my thumbs up.

Wanabe2: The instructions were vague at best, but after a series of trial and error these work well. My application was a custom single cabinet door front 40" in width, 14" high that is hinged on the bottom and swings downward allowing a pull out drawer to slide forward. The cabinet has been in use for a couple of months and the controlled opening speed is very good and smooth. If you are ok with figuring out how to position and install these, you should be happy with the outcome.

VickiVicki: I bought these for an old piece of furniture, drop down desk. Top is very heavy. These were pretty easy to install. Not the best directions but had measurements on bag in mm. I followed the measurements exactly and it worked! My son has been working at his desk for a couple of weeks doing school work and there have been no issues. Lowers and raises fine and stays perfect at a 90 degree angle when open. Would recommend.
