M. Edwards: what you need for your still wonderful, 90's well built, solid red oak cabinets, that will come back into style and be so expensive only the rick will have them. So don't paint them or replace them! They do not build cabinets like this anymore. These are the hinges you need and they make the doors stay open again. Love them and love my oak cabinets.

Bruce Abell: These hinges use a plastic part that breaks in time, so people with older cabinets need replacements. I think these are no longer made--a variant is made but I don't know if it would fit my cabinets. Amazon had a supply of the older design, so I ordered enough to last several years.

Evaluator: Bought these to replace existing ones that break over time. They have a plastic piece that breaks after an undetermined number of open and closes. I just use these to replace older ones so they're easy enough to remove the old ones and install the new ones. They're a fair value. It's just irritating to have them fail over time/use. I was glad to find them available on amazon.

Esther: Redid the kitchen. Wanted to reuse the kitchen cabinets and door but many of our hinges were shot. We got these and they for perfectly. We easily replaced the old ones with these and they work great.
