Commander Dick: Bought a used truck and someone had removed the tools from it.
I realized that when I had a blowout a very long way from home, on a deserted highway, in the middle of the night.
My bad!
I should know better than to start a trip without checking the spare and tire changing tools.
I finally got the spare down from it's storage place, but I spent a lot of time on my back under the vehicle doing it.

David Short: I bought a used pickup truck that didn’t have a spare or Jack of any sort. I found the spare and Jack at the salvage yard but a Jack handle and the rod to let down the spare are not to be found. This set is perfect and better quality than OEM. VR: Like others have mentioned - for the price I thought the tool was going to be your typical Wally-World flimsy stamped steel, but I was pleasantly surprised. While it's not super-duty, it's definitely better than others in the same price range.

I'm a machinist and was going to make my own from solid steel but for the price - I took a chance.
I'm definitely NOT disappointed! I tested it out and it lowered and raised my tire with no problem.

I wasn't really after the lug-wrench part of this kit as I made a custom breaker bar for those. The lugs on my truck are 105 ft. lb, so it takes a bit of effort to get them loose. I'm sure the wrench in this kit would work in a pinch though. If it's the only wrench you have, you might consider tossing an extra length of pipe to slip over it for extra leverage.

About the only negative thing I can say (more of an annoyance) - is the little ball bearing spring-locks are stiff and hard to lock the sections together, but not surprised as they are new. And my fingers aren't as strong as they used to be. With a little WD40 and time - they'll loosen up.

I would definitely buy again if I need to!
