Sarah T.:
This is a heavy package, over 75#. The components come labeled with tags like you find at a local shopping mart and some will be hard to read, the label gun that was used for ours was worn and almost out of ink. But it's mostly common sense. One of the blister packs that had the hardware in it was sealed with the diagram backwards, but again, common sense.
One of the legs was damaged, like it had been smashed into, and a few of the pieces had tread imprints from either a planer or sander. The stain was applied evenly and the varnish looks okay. There are some rough spots where it could have been sanded better and had the varnish applied better, but for $130, for a child, and made of hardwood, I'm happy with it!
It was easy enough to assemble with two people, one of the cams was not threaded well so we had to hand tap it to keep the bolt from cross threading.
The stairs are comfortable to use and the ladder can be moved to either side of the bed which is great for vacuuming and play time. I can take away the ladder when my son has friends over to keep them from being hurt.
I get up on the bed with my son every night, I weigh 134# he weighs...

Karen: One of the pieces was a bit cracked so I contacted customer service and they responded fast, piece was shipped and I got it within days. I bought it a year ago I wanted to make sure it was good quality before leaving my review, considering the mixed reviews, but for the price I gave it a chance and still in very good condition a year later. Not real wood but sturdy materials have in mind I bought it for my 8 year old. I think if you are looking for an affordable loft bed for your kid this is a pretty good option.

Mark Fisher: We had been looking for a loftbed for awhile for our 12 year old. I knew I wanted a wooden one for sturdiness. I also had read many reviews of the metals ones that the ladder bars hurt the feet. I didn't want to have to add pool noodles to her bed and make her room look tacky. This bed has been the perfect purchase for her room! The ladder steps are comfortable to climb, and the bed is SUPER sturdy. We didn't even secure it to the wall. It's a perfect height where she can sit on her bed and her head doesn't hit the ceiling, but she can comfortable go under the bed to her desk without hitting her head. We have been really happy with this purchase and will be buying at least 1 more for another one of our kids!

James B. Rial: The beds are an awesome addition to my kids room. I was a little nervous about buying beds on Amazon without being able to see them up close and personal in a store but I am very happy with this purchase. The beds are made from real wood not that pressed board garbage. They are very sturdy and the design leaves my kids plenty of extra room for their other furniture and toys. Once you lay out all of the pieces and get yourself organized they are fairly simple to assemble, however, a second person is needed for certain parts of the assembly. Another point to note is that during shipment one of the pieces for the headboard was damaged and it literally only took a few minutes to get in contact with support to have another part shipped to us. I assembled the bed with the broken part for now since it was not damaged in any way that would pose any safety risk, it just looks bad having a crack. Once the part arrives it will only take a few minutes to loosen a few screws and replace the broken part. All-in-all these beds are impressive and worth the price I paid at the time of purchase. Another side note, the beds are very large and extremely high unlike other bunk beds....

Amazon Customer: My daughter is 85lbs. It said the weight limit was 165lbs on the instructions. I put the bed together this afternoon and the second time she went to spread out a wood slat snapped and tore piece of the lip off that the slat rests on. I took out the broken slat and added 5 additional pieces across to support her and try and prevent anything else from breaking. The bad part is now she has an ugly torn out piece where the white finish is missing underneath.
