LogicalReview: The two parts MUST be at the EXACT height for the unit to work. If your cabinet is not completely flat ( bottom or top of the cabinet has a drop/lip/frame), you will have to build up the cabinet with additional wood!!! Lots of work. We gave up!

A template should be include with the product.

2n1: Got this to add a little security to a "hidden door" used in the house "media room". Fairly easy to set up and dead simple to install. Access card can be easily read through 3/4 inch wooden board. It should be recognized that this is not a "bank vault" level of security but it works well for a casual attempt to open the door.

Jeremy: Great little lock, stronger then I expected. Initial set up and mounting is a pain. Wish it came with better instructions and/or a mounting template.

Tiffany Allen: The media could not be loaded. I just installed these in my house to keep unsafe objects inaccessible. I feel like the instructions made it more confusing than it had to be. My biggest headache upon install was getting both parts in just the right position to where the cupboard/drawer closes fully and the lock latches. Easy to connect the same card to multiple devices! I love this. I don’t need 10 cards floating around. We have one we use mainly and the 2nd in a private area for use if we lose the 1st card. I saved all of the extra cards and fobs for use at some point if needed. The lock is strong when it is in use. I am not trying to rip the door/drawer open but a firm tug and it doesn’t budge. Overall, I would buy again. In fact, I need to buy again as I didn’t order enough! Lastly, if you are using on a drawer, I would recommend getting a right angle drill attachment if you don’t already have one!

Amazon Customer: It took a couple of tries to get the mounting screws in the right place but it works quite well. (Mine is installed behind 1/2" plywood)
Not a lot of range for the prox so you do have to place the card in the exact right spot.
Mine may be a newer version as there is no reset button. The hole is there but no button so when
programming the cards/fobs it's just a matter of presenting the management card first then the other card/fobs in quick succession.
Good value for the price.

Wrath 2 U: No User manual, no Installation Template,
No panic instruction to open the drawer if batteries failed
You can open it with the help of a screwdriver and change the batteries
and how do you do that, if the drawer is closed
