The cuffs are too stiff to tighten up on the hose. So these still require tape to attach. Not betterthan what i already had.

This ended up working really well. I wasn't sure how it would do. The instruction video really helped along with my heavy duty snips. This is the third time I've tried to fix the set up after my "free install" from the home improvement store left the washer and dryer 15" from the wall. The first time I tried to fix it, I ended up pulling a bunch of muscles and tendons in my leg. It was frustrating to say the least! There are two different versions of this if you look through the pictures. Not sure if they are both sold or not. This version includes a velcro strap to attach the tubing to the new wall adapter. It works great. The video shows a dryer duct connector snap type connection. I thought I was getting that, but the velcro worked well. I purchased the dryer duct connector for the other end. That will not work on this end because the plastic tube coming off the wall adapter does not have a snap/stop for the connector.

Our dryer doesn’t vent into the wall, but down into the floor. So we have struggled to find a proper way to get it to vent outside without the piece bending & popping off constantly!
So this product is great, & well worth the $60+ it cost.

I was a little skeptical on this product given the $45 price tag but I'm now convinced that while $45 is a little on the high side it's worth it. This is COMPLETELY frustration free dryer vent installation. It took me longer to read and review the instructions than it did to install this. The manufacturer of my dryer provides a RIDICULOUSLY short exhaust vent so getting one of those ring clamps to bite (nevermind, hold and stay in place) is an exercise in total frustration and near futility. My previous dryer vent is currently on my garage floor beaten to death a la "Office Space" style after I received numerous cuts trying to reattach it to my dryer, the clamp ring coming off numerous times while trying to tighten it and then coming off once I achieved "success" when I moved the dryer back into position. This product makes wanting to murder your vent, your dryer and possibly the duct work in your all a thing of the past.
It ships with a standard foil duct which can be easily replaced at a local home store if/when needed. The connectors are made of SOLID plastic so I have no worries about quality issues there. I will need to be careful when disconnecting...

FYI - I'm a woman in my 50s so handy projects need to be easy. This was. Dryer vents that use a hose and one of the those stupid, hard-to-manipulate clamps to attach to the output is bad design. It popped off on first use of a new dryer. Given the hard to reach space in a closet and the fact that I can't move the w/d myself, I did a search and found this solution immediately. This elbow vent is excellent design. I'm giving 4 stars because I did have to jimmy it--see picture. I do believe that's because a dryer vent kit had to be used on my dryer so it would vent to the side in a closet rather than out the back (which is the more normal set up for dryers). Installation of the elbow is a snap but the rubber gasket that attaches the elbow to the vent output was not thick enough to truly hold the elbow in place. (Might be because a vent kit was used and is smaller than a standard circumference of a built-in vent output.) If your dryer vents from the back, just pushing the dryer up against the wall will ensure the elbow stays in place. For me, I had to create a wedge so when the dryer turned on, it wouldn't push the elbow off the vent output. An easy fix is for this...
