twotonetwotone: This product was exactly what I was looking for the rustic restoration of a thrifted 2’ x 4’ coffee table top.
I had an excellent experience using this epoxy product, and you can’t beat the price (I shopped around at Home Depo and other hardware stores; this was the best price I found but what really sold me was all the positive reviews!)
Prior to purchasing I did a lot of YouTube research on how to work with these types of epoxy’s and followed these pro tips:
- be sure to fill any cracks in the surface that are large enough for the product to drip through, sand entire surface, wash with damp cloth and let dry
- Prior to pouring the table top, I applied 2 coats of polyurethane to all the table surfaces (including the top) sanding after each coat. This ensured a sealed surface that was ready to receive the epoxy
- Ensure you are in a room that is free from stuff floating around in the air!
- There will be lots of dripping so be sure to place a plastic tarp (or similar) under your project
- Prior to pouring, I applied strips of painters tape to the underside of the edges to facilitate easy removal of the inevitable drips that...

Elizabeth Gilmour: Update:
When I first tried this resin I didn't really like it very much. However, after working with it a bit I really love the hardness of my finished work. I do get a lot of air bubbles when stirring, however using alchohol and a heat gun the finished doesn't have many bubbles at all.
I found the short work time was my fault as I heated up the two parts prior to mixing and this starts the curing process early.
I still find the two different viscosities difficult to fully mix.
This resin maybe good for counter tops but for crafts and molds I wouldn't recommend it.
First, the viscosity is so different between A & B. A is very thick and heavy and B is very thin. This makes it very difficult to mix.
Second, It took over 10 mins to get it fully mixed with no streaks. There are a ton of bubbles but a lot seem to come out once you pour.
Third, there is a very short working time. The resin starts heating up less than 10 minutes after mixing. It's not good for projects that take longer to pour.
Fourth, the smell is awful.
Fifth, because the viscosity is a lot thicker than other craft resins. Inks, dyes and pigments don't react like they should.
I...

Kashif C: I didn't pay attention to the working time which is only about 20 minutes as I am used to another brand with MUCH longer working time & ruined my counter top price hoping. Nothing negative about the product just be aware of your need for a quick hardening epoxy or longer working time epoxy.

Jessica R LeekleyJessica R Leekley: I will admit this is NOT easy. You need to carve out at least a weekend, for me to do the entire kitchen it took a week and 3 coats, so order extra epoxy, like 2x what you think you'll need because much of it goes to waste as it "self-levels."
PREP PREP PREP is the key, cover everything, get some wax paper for tools and things to sit on and don't plan to reuse anything. You will need several mixing cups. Get rubbing alcohol, not only does it add a cool look it will clean epoxy off surfaces you didn't mean to epoxy as long as it is still wet.
Take your time and have fun. I was so nervous I watched hours of different videos on techniques and then I did a test run on my bar, I absolutely love the results. It is messy but when done right and not in a rush you can have a really cool and unique countertop. In addition to the epoxy I purchased mica powder and rustoleum spray paint and resin dye to achieve the desired results.

Nickole Lyon: Make sure you mix it very good. I think the website says to mix it for 5 minutes.

Jillian DuFrane: The finish is nice and clear, but beware if you are using for a kitchen countertop. It is not heat resistant! Scratches very easily
