Doug - Haydn Fan: When a record was playing walking near the turntable caused the cartridge to skip. We placed the four little squares underneath the four feet of our Audio-Technica turntable and much to our surprise the skipping stopped. It’s now possible to walk near the turntable while a record is on and not have the cartridge skip.
So, for us this and our particular issue this product was a complete success.

Big DaveBig Dave: I bought these to help with the vibration from my portable air conditioner. The pads work brilliantly and the violent start and stop of the compressor no longer reverberates through the whole role room, only a loud click from the unit itself now.

This pad size is too small for castor wheels and kept rolling off. I cured this with cheap castor cups.

NCIceman: I have 2 hard drives enclosures (a Drobo 5D3 and an Apple Time Capsule) sitting on a shelf. Running, the drives cause a resonating hum on the wooden shelf. I got these to hopefully eliminate that, but while they do help a little, they seem far too firm for what I need. For one I ended up using a neoprene mouse pad as well, which didn't work on its own, and it helped a bit more but still did not completely eliminate the resonance.

This may not be what the product is intended for; I sure would like to find something that does work. These drives are in my living room attached to my media pc, so any sound is distracting.

Nisse: You would likely get better sound isolation from a pair of cheap gymnastic mats, fold them and put your bed or whatever on top. I don't see the purpose of these, they're clearly visible even though they're small so they could just have been bigger.

Paul: I got these to put under a Lian Li O11 Air Mini to let the bottom intake breathe, and to damp vibrations I was feeling in the table it sits on. I cannot tell a difference in vibration but I think they look nice and don't skid so I am keeping them. I suspect a desktop PC just isn't heavy enough for these, or maybe the vibration frequency of spinning drives is wrong. I stopped the transmitted vibration by using soft silicone HDD grommets from an old Antec Solo case in place of the thin rubber ones Lian Li included; those only fit on the side mount however, not the drive trays.

RyCaRyCa: Vibration and noise of pounding footsteps and door/cabinet slamming of downstairs neighbors has been waking/keeping me up for months despite wearing earplugs jammed deep in my ears. I finally ordered these 2-inch pads to try under the feet of my bed to try reducing the noise and vibration traveling up through the floor and bed.

I'm happy to say the difference was *immediately* noticeable. I still wear earplugs, but now a good 90% of the previous vibration/noise coming up through the floor is at least undetectable while laying in bed and I am sleeping soundly.

Having read reviews about the smell, I washed them with dishsoap and a dish sponge, then left them on the patio for a few days to air out. They still smell like new shoes when held under the nose, but the smell isn't strong enough to be noticeable in the bedroom.

**NOTE** I ensured I ordered these from the legitimate DiversiTech store on Amazon, and as you can see in the photo, they are the real thing - no counterfeit pads like one reviewer complained of.
