wolflady13: New to The Rule of Benedict or looking for timely reflections on it; this book fills the bill! As usual, Sr. Joan Chittister presents thoughtful insights incorporating inclusive language and the wisdom of sages from many traditions (e.g. Rumi, Jewish sages, Desert Fathers and Mothers, etc.)
Whatever your spiritual path, this is most worthwhile, thought-provoking reading.

donald g. beier: This book is a great start to organize your thoughts and a great guideline of St Benedict’s Rule
The monastics know something we mere mortals don’t but many seek
The serenity of contemplative life in full harmony with the earth. Sky. Seasons and acceptance of themselves and others as we all seek God
This would be a great start toward that organized. Disciplined. Prayerful life of gratitude and humility
I’d suggest a retreat at a monastery as often as you can to see the eyes of the monastics. You’ll see that they have found the secret.
