Celeste R: If you’re interested in world peace and/or peace in your world and your body, lour life—this is the most accessible instruction manual. It is not to be read, it is to be practiced. If you plan to just read, but for someone else that is serious about creating peace in their lives. I’m kidding—mostly. The most profound teachings of Buddhism are broken down into easy to understand and incorporate practices. But you don’t have to be Buddhist. My devout Catholic friends who have practiced this way expressed that one can be a better Christian through these practices than through going to church.

Ernest Rhodes: This book open a soul that's been entrapped for years. Even though he is gone his spirit still lives.
I recently lost a friend but there was this one chapter that made me feel good. Like a leaf, We have many stems. Life is like a leaf with many stems but it always return to its source.
Put away your religious belief and open your heart to feel the present of your spiritual source through this book.
I just want to say thank you. Let there be peace with every step. 🙏

Lady Vibart: This simple but powerful book explains how we can all achieve peace within ourselves, our relationships and even the world by Simple techniques we can all do. They are so simple and yet so effective it's difficult to believe it works. But it does. Try doing what he suggests and just feel the tension in you shoulders evaporate in seconds. An amazing and logical practice for everyone and especially for those who suffer from worry, anxiety, and low mood. Experiment when you're in the car and feeling stressed because you're late for work or in the middle of a row with your partner etc, The cheapest and simplest way to a healthy mind and body that you could come across. Will the Education Minister please start putting it on the school curriculum to teach the adults of tomorrow how to live stress free and rewarding lives whatever their walk of life and possibilities. It's when you stop doing it and the tension and stress comes pouring back through your body and mind that you realize how powerful his theories etc are. I would recommend this book to any age group or social background ,and have already sent about 6 to friends and family to help them. But just reading it won't work, you...

amilly: This is the first book of Ven. Thich Nhat Hanh that i have read and it is simply amazing! No words can express how much inner joy and peace this clear simple yet profound book has brought to my life. Anyone can claim that they know the teachings of the Buddha but to be able to expound them with such great clarity, humility, simplicity and depth is more than just a gift. It is a clear evidence of how this simple man has truly embodied the true practice of what he preaches. There were definitely more than one occasion in which I found myself naturally reduced to tears of joy and inspiration when I read this book. I can't believe that just merely words can convince me to realise the preciousness of this very moment, of such a simple thing as my breath, of my very existence that I have taken forgranted of for so long. What makes his teachings so wonderful is that there is no compulsion or force, just words of encouragement for us to live life more deeply and joyfully. It is the gentleness of his approach and the true compassion that underlies what he writes that makes me so inspired to put them into practice in my daily life. I have never written any reviews before but I have done so...

Jim Martin: Life is a miracle, so don't waste another minute... What a book! This is the first book I read from Thich Nhat Hanh. What a pleasing manuscript and unique simple text (anyone can read this). There are so many `common-sense' lessons found here which we should know already, OR we do know but don't practice for whatever reason. In any event, how refreshing, and revitalizing it is to see some of these wonderful lessons in black and white...

There are a lot of catch phrases that people say like:
Don't put something off until tomorrow because tomorrow may not come
OR
Stop dwelling in the past because you can't change anything.
OR
Life isn't a destination but a journey.

What Hanh does here is very simple and interesting - he states that there is nowhere to live BUT in the present moment. You cannot live 5 minutes from now, OR 5 minutes ago. You can only live right here / now, and in the present. This is the only way to be in touch with life. And for people that don't understand - that means that you can't be focusing on 10 different things because then you are distracted, and you aren't `truly in the moment'. That goes for work, for life itself or even...
