Mom2000Mom2000: A great book to introduce you to Iceland. We used it as a guide to beautiful locations, things to do, restaurants and shopping. The book is small and travels easy.
A great buy and a must have on your first visit to Iceland.

Margret Comack: Lots of nice details but it completely omits the north half of the country which is what i was most interested in

Amazon Customer: We thoroughly enjoyed the book, but it didn't dig into some basic things you need to know before buying the plane tickets, Some important missing items are how do you get from the airport to your hotel, and what does it cost to do and see things while in Iceland. The reason for the five stars is that the book sealed the deal about wanting to go to Iceland, and the big book I had to buy after reading it filled in the blanks for me. Both books serve very useful purposes.

Reno Man: This is the most superficial travel book I have ever seen. Usually one gets what they pay for, so at less than half the price of regular travel books my expectation were realistic. However, this was less than less, if such a thing. There is so much more on the web or even one Icelandic tourism sight. Do not waste your money on this high school written essay. With so few trees in Iceland it is sad they wasted so many on this pulp work - a money grabber with no maps, illustrations, or photos.

Jill C. Cooke: We just got back from Iceland and used this book alot. I preferred the lonely planet book that my co worker had over this one, but it still was pretty good.

Rachael Thompson: This was the first traveler book I read for Lost Travelers but I'm quite impressed. Will definitely pick up a few more. This book provides valuable insight for travelers to appropriately for a trip to Iceland. I enjoyed learning about the history of Vikings and medieval era in addition to the learning about the geography and variable climate of Iceland. The book breaks different parts of Iceland down and tells you what attractions to see, where to eat, where to stay as well as advice on how to travel. This is very helpful and will make planning a memorable trip much easier than trying to research all of this on my own!
