kelnino1again: We like to use the Insta Pot mostly as a pressure cooker. It cooks vegetables, meats, fish, and fruits thoroughly and quickly. 20 minutes on high heat is a good way to do countless cooking. True, the cooking process at 20min is true, however food prep time, preheat and pressurization, and then depressurization and cool-down time is also a factor. The more we use it-the more we find ways to cut the total time. It is easy to make about anything you need to cook. Experimentation with time and heat is encouraged and enjoyable! Cleanup is a breeze! Remove the inner stainless steel pot, scrub it down, run it through the dishwasher with the flexible gasket that makes the lid seal, and thoroughly dry. Most of our cooking is for single items, but we have made complete stews, soups, and casseroles by cooking everything at the same time. Place what you want to eat in the pot, screw on the lid, set the simple controls, press start. Insta Pot will do the rest of the work for you. As a rule we season and spice the basics before we cook. More spices or sauces can be added after cooking, but we like to go conservative on most foods to begin with. The book is loaded with great...

Kelly V.: This book does not have any pictures, lots of recipes crammed onto one page. Bought this because the price was good but was hoping for a few pictures. Would not recommend, other great, full color, step by step instructions in other books.

I love this book! I have been looking for an excellent book that is well rounded with simplicity. No, there aren't pictures, however the recipes, in general, are simple. I would not say to get this book if you are brand new to the Instant Pot; these recipes are better for those that have used an InstantPot a few times and are a bit familiar with it. I am soooo looking forward to the "Steamed Tilapia with Tomato-Olive Sauce", and the "Tomato & Rice Stuffed Zucchini Boats" as well as the "French Apricot Cobbler".
I do agree with one of the other reviewers: some of the instructions are incorrect or even missing some information... yet I am able to figure out what to do in the mis-written step(s), as I have been cooking for a number of years. I still appreciate this book more than the previous four (4) Instant Pot cookbooks that I have purchased.
*Note: if you are looking for a cookbook for "Beginning the Instant Pot", I would recommend the following book: "The Ultimate Instant Pot Cookbook" by Coco Morante, as this book has a nice introduction as well as wonderful reference for cooking times.

Wonderful book with easy recipes for Instant Pot.
I already did 2 in Instant Pot, 2 in a regular Pot, and 1 in a skillet pan. (last 2 being light modifications)
Book is giving great combinations, I would never had thought of by myself.
I see some people are complaining that there are no pictures, but so what ? It would be silly to have pictures for all 600 recipes, and would make book much bulkier, expensive etc.
As I said recipes are easy to follow, combinations are good & unusual. Just pick something with easy to get ingredients that you like - and go ahead.
(i am still in awe from combining mayonnaise, maple syrup & lemon juice - which becomes a great, and so easy to make sauce)
Next I am making Broccoli & Asparagus eggs with Ricotta.

Geo: this is an excellent book got lots of varieties, lots of recipes and very easy to follow it has really great number of recipes, and multiple cooking ideas to beginner cooks. Great variety and combinations can easily assist seasoned cooks to prepare more creative, budget-friendly, and tasty meals for the whole family. The author provides an excellent balance between content and price ($10-$11), especially given the current market and social conditions, in order to maximize efficient solutions in the kitchen. very pleased with my purchase.

D. Smith: Easy to read & understand. Layed out traditionally w/ only Insta pot instructions in all categories. My likes were plenty: Easy to follow instructions; Variety for every category + gave me ideas of how to fix my personal favorite recipes in my collection. My dislikes had to do w/ not as thick as many traditional cookbooks...but still WOULD recommend, because there's something for everyone in this Cookbook.
