Caleb: Great fun recipes! Some very simple classic dishes but with a twist to make them more whovian themed.

Only rating it 4 star because my book arrived with some damage on the corners like they dropped it before packaging it, other than that all the pages were crisp and clean

Moon Goddess: Attention, il s'agit ici d'un livre de cuisine en anglais. Donc si vous n'êtes pas en bons termes avec la langue de Shakespeare, ce n'est peut-être pas la peine de l'acheter. Mais si vous êtes fans de Doctor Who et que votre anglais est acceptable : foncez !

Je ne m'attendais pas à grand chose. Beaucoup de livres de cuisine basés sur des univers des séries ont tendance à proposer des recettes lambda auxquelles ont a donné un intitulé tiré de la série pour faire comme si cela rendait la recette spéciale.

Dans ce livre-ci, il y a beaucoup plus de réflexion. La plupart des recettes jouent vraiment sur les visuels. On retrouve le tournevis sonique, les daleks, les cybermen, le T.A.R.D.I.S., les oods, les slitheens, les atraxi, la Pandorica, etc. Forcément, les recettes sont parfois plus compliquées à faire que s'il s'agissait de plats "normaux", car il faut donner la forme au plat.

Le pendant d'avoir autant travaillé le visuel, c'est que les plats ne sont pas spécialement conçus pour être bons. Par exemple, sur la pizza Cassandra, on vous dit de mettre des tranches de concombre et de raisin (pour faire les yeux, mais bon, niveau gastronomique...

Alex: Not exactly why I expected, but still fun! Mostly it is cakes or bread that you shape like aliens. If you are looking for amazing recipes probably not worth it, but if you are looking for a really unique fun gift or addition to your collection, this fits the bill. I got a copy for my friend and she thought it was hilarious. It is also quite a beautiful book with lots of pictures from the show. Quite the trip down memory lane!

Ute-Brigitte Seifert: Dieses Buch wurde wunderschön designed und lohnt sich meiner Ansicht nach deshalb schon für große Doctor Who Fans. Die Gerichte sind keine umwerfenden neue Geschmackskombination, aber eine nette Art und Weise DW in seine täglichen Mahlzeiten zu integrieren. Manche Kuchen sind sehr aufwendig, andere Speisen sind sehr simpel. Es stehen 16 herzhafte und 24 süße Speisen in diesem Buch. Viele davon sind vegetarisch, für Veganer ist das Buch jedoch nichts. Für jeden der sich unsicher ist, ob er dieses Buch kaufen soll, würde ich empfehlen die Leseprobe runterzuladen, damit man einen Überblick über die Rezepte bekommt.

Einen Stern Aubzug gibt's für folgende Sachen:
-Maßangaben nur in cups/oz., Temperatur ist nur in Fahrenheit angegeben
-sehr ungesunde Kuchen mit viel Buttercreme und Fondant
-nicht jedes Rezept enthält ein Bild des Endresultats

Deanna L. Olson: This is a cookbook that's really fun to look at. The photos are gorgeous and Pinterest-worthy, but as a cookbook it lacks something. Some of the recipes are just assembly instructions for store-bought items to make them look like a monster looks; some of them are very detailed with many steps. If you're thinking of buying this for your own little Doctor I wouldn't recommend it as a kids cookbook. Too fussy. But as a Whovian who loves to cook, this is a fun addition for my shelf.

Hope: For those expecting a repeat of Gary Downie's Doctor Who cookbook, this isn't it. No cast members contributing favorite recipes. The recipes in *this* cookbook are named and themed mainly after the characters in the 2005-present series although there *is* a small homage to older villains and a nice picture of the First Doctor (William Hartnell) towards the front of the book and another of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker), Leela and K-9 in the "Kookie K-9" recipe.

Some of these recipes will be easy to make like the "Sonic Screwdri-Veg," the "Fish Fingers and Custard" and the " A Pizza Cassandra."

Others will be more difficult like the "Kookie K-9" and "The TARDIS" recipes. You'll find templates for the more difficult recipes in the back of the book.

And YUM! There is even a recipe to make your own Jelly Babies.

This is a must have for old and new Whovians alike.
