TJoli: I bought this for my little cousin who turned 8 recently. I was a little reluctant to buy it at first because the age group for this coloring book ended at 8 y/o... I didn't want this to be too boring or "young" for him to use. This was far from the case! He was so excited. He rushed to get his coloring pencils ASAP. The basic directions are written big and easy for him to see/read so that he can know what color is what #. On page 1 he got carried away coloring and forgot about the number system. But he corrected his colors and then on page 2 he was already smooth sailing.

My cousin loves dinosaurs, coloring, reading, and math. So this gift was perfect because it revolved around all 4! It was such a thick book. I predicted it would take a while to finish. However, my aunt told me he's going to go through that book so quickly!

One quick note is we noticed there's a blank page in between pages intended for color bleeding (similar to a checkbook). I think this was an incredible idea! I wish they had coloring books with this in them back when I was a child!!!

NicRic: This is a simple color by number that's good for preschoolers. Each picture has big spaces to color in and only goes up to the number 4. I do wish that the numbers key were color coded though, as most preschoolers can't read "red", "blue", etc. I go through and color the key for my daughter so she knows which number gets which color. But it's a nice, simple book.

The black side to allow felts to work and also white pencils to draw on black is genius!

Nancy: This was an excellent purchase!! My Grandson is learning to follow the colour by number.... This book has great pages in between each page to save the transfer of colours if using markers.... They have thought of everything!! He chose his favourite Dinosaur and was so happy!! Worth every cent!
