GodFamilyCountry: What I liked most about this alarm clock is the dimmable display, which is also in a blue color that when lights are off doesn't glare brightly like red displays do. A younger child might like the color choices for the nightlight on top, I was disappointed in the faded areas of light in the various colors. My adult son sleeps so deeply he sometimes doesn't awaken for his alarm, so I gave it to him to try. No suggestions are given for where to place the bed vibrator/shaker/buzzer, which impacts a smaller area than I'd expected- it is nowhere near the whole bed. Perhaps the extra loud alarm will do the trick- it is indeed loud. If you purchase this clock you might want to place it on a nightstand set on carpeting- it looks as if one fall on a hard floor could damage it greatly.

K. C.: EDIT: the seller reached out to me and replaced this alarm clock. I haven’t had a chance to review it. I changed my rating because customer service matters a lot. If in the end this alarm clock still doesn’t work then I will lower my rating.

We bought this in June for my boys room. My oldest son has had a problem waking up with this from the beginning. The vibrating piece only worked sporadically from the beginning but now the spot where it plugs into the phone doesn’t even work. I had to order another alarm clock after 2 months.

Michael Morici: I was a little skeptical about purchasing this clock for my son but I had to do something. Neither his alarm clock nor his cell phone combined would make a dent in getting him up in the morning. Wow what a difference! This clock is great! It comes with this vibrating puck that you put under your pillow that vibrates your head when it’s time to get up. The alarm on the clock is very loud and the light it gives off is very bright. My sons bed is wood and when we first got the clock, we stuck the vibrating puck up against the wood and the frame. This was actually too aggressive as the puck vibrates quite vigorously and created one heck of a sound. He sleeps with it under his pillow and now he has no problem waking up! I highly recommend this clock!

LisaLoo: I have trouble falling asleep sometimes, and then trouble waking up from the alarm because I simply have not had enough sleep. I think this new alarm clock with the bed shaker feature is going to change that. The bed shaker part is optional, and can be unplugged from the clock if you don't want to use it. I was testing it out the other day and the bed shaker got quite the reaction at my house. My boyfriend and his friends came up with some other less safe for work functions of the bed shaker since they had never heard of such a thing!

I really like how easy this clock is to program. On many new style clocks, you will get one or two vaguely marked buttons and somehow you are supposed to program the time, two alarm settings, the date, and every appointment you have in your calendar for the next year. Ok, no, it's not quite that bad, but this clock is refreshing in that it has a multitude of buttons and switches and they are all mqrked, making it easy to figure out how to set the clock without having to dig out the manul every time I lose power for 2 seconds.

Also appreciated is the big, clear numbers. I wear glasses and have horrible vision...
