joshua: Upon opening the box it was clear to see everything was organized well. Everything is labeled appropriately, however there were a couple of rods that were labeled under the packaging. So you won't know those pieces until you take the foam off of the ends. The package that holds the screws are labeled a bit funky, but you can figure it out.

The finish is even and without a ton of blemishes. I didn't notice any large blemishes while putting it together.

Assembly directions are well written, easy to read and understand. Pictures are very helpful. While assembling the bed all components seem to be well built with quality materials and design. Assembly was fairly easy with the exception of the slat retainers. They were pretty hard to install and some of the tabs can break off. This doesn't seem to affect the functionality or safety of the bed. Not enough for me to remove any stars because of it.

Once the bed is assembled it is quite sturdy. It does have a slight wobble to it, but not more than most metal bunk beds. Once it was put against the wall (in the corner), there were no issues even when the kids were getting up and down off of the top bunk.

Krystal: This was the cheapest bed like this I could find. This bed was priced higher everywhere else. It was easy to assemble and it calls for 2 people but I put the bed up on my own with no assistance. The bed is very heavy so I did remove it piece by piece upstairs to my daughters room. I highly recommend this bed for the quality and price.

david h: my wife and purchased this bunk bed for our grandchildren when they stay at our home. The price point was very good. The bed is sturdy and made of metal. The upper buck has a protective railing and the lower bunk is only inches from the floor. This is a good safety feature but does make it a challenge to prepare the bed for older folks like us. But it is a great bed for the price and our grandchildren love it.

Byte314Byte314: Assembly was a pain, but not too difficult. A lot of small parts and tight areas to get your hands into of you have sausage fingers like me. The design of this bed doesn’t allow for power tools to be used. Seems sturdy. The issue I have is one of the slates were too short. When putting it together I did notice the bed making a clinking noise with the center beam. After reading other reviews, someone suggested to lay foam weather strips down the top of beam to silence the clinking noise. I used a felt that’s used for the chairs legs and placed it under the slate. The felt disc sticks to the beam and the slate sits on top. This pretty much stoped the clinking noise. Directions are vague. Only had to undo one section as we didn’t see the holes on the manual. Pay attention to the hole layout as you put this together. Two people took us 3 hours to put together, this was due to small area to get screws in and using the supplied Alan wrench. Not as tall as I thought it would be.

Girl Mom: I searched for a twin over twin bunk bed for awhile for my 2 girls, ages 5 & 2. The wood style bunk beds seemed extremely over-priced. I came across this bunk bed and found that Amazon had the best price. Although I didn’t originally want a metal bunk bed, I’m very happy with my purchase. It is perfect for my girls. Obviously putting it together is a bit of a pain, but that would be the case with any set purchased online (unless you’re willing to pay for assembly). It just took some time, but was pretty straightforward. I really like how the bottom bunk is very close to the floor for my 2 year old. It has lots of head room for her when she sits up, and I also like how the top bunk isn’t very high as well! It makes changing the bedding a lot easier. The room isn’t very big, so I also like that it doesn’t take up a lot of space. No complaints whatsoever with the bed. The only issue I had is that the first one I ordered never arrived, and I was not informed that it wouldn’t be coming (I think it may have been damaged before being delivered…miscommunication between Amazon and the delivery company I guess?!).
