Sarah: I have a floor lamp plugged in behind my couch and it was super annoying to reach back behind the couch each time you wanted to turn the lamp on or off. This outlet remote control worked perfectly so I can easily just hit the on/off remote from where I'm sitting. I usually keep it hung on a key hook by the door to the room so I can turn it on and off when I walk in the room. Love it!
