I got a cheap one before and it broke in no time and felt cheap. This one works fast and has a better balance to it along with a much longer hose.

BigConsumer: I use mil spec Jerry cans, so they are not exactly light with 5 gallons of fuel in them, and there really isn't a good place to grip on the bottom of the can. Trying to wrangle the can into a good pouring position, in snow and freezing cold, with heavy gloves on, is not fun.
When I first saw these, I thought that they were just a gimmick, but it really works well.
I use it mostly for filling the tank on my UTV, but it also came in handy to add some treated fuel to my motorcycle, before putting it up for the winter. I was hesitant to try filling the motorcycle tank with it, due to the internal baffling in the tank, I didn't want it coming out too fast and splashing all over. The fill speed was perfect, nota drop spilled or splashed. I would recommend this, and I wish that I'd had one years ago.

William L. Jirik: This pump has very good suction and power. However, it doesn't work for what I bought it for. I bought it to take gas out of my van so that I can fill my generator in case there's a power outage. I decided that why should I keep a bunch of gas cans around when I can just use my van's gas for the generator. Except that the pump will not fit in the van's gas nozzle because it won't bend and is too thick. My fault, as I didn't fully study what the pump consisted of. However, I found that it is very good for pumping water from a holding tank that I have here. I was using a regular hose to siphon the water, but this pump is excellent for that. I like that it uses ordinary flashlight batteries.

Retired: Running off D-Cells the pump and can quickly move 20L of gas from a jerrycan sitting in the back of my Jeep into the tank. The pump at the end of the tube can easily fit into the small opening of a common 20L jerrycan. No need to remove the gas can from the Jeep. It does trap some fuel so if you don’t want your vehicle smelling like gasoline let the pump air dry outside or in your garage for a day or so. But carry it as an emergency. In an emergency you can live with the smell.

Philip M.: I am addicted to good old fashioned military surplus 5 gallon metal jerry cans. I keep eight, what with
two generators and a lawn tractor to feed.
With the June 15, 2023 power outage here in Texas (windstorm), and two previous outages due to ice storms (February 2021 and again February 2022); my mother-in-law, my wife and my brother-in-law expressed their disdain for the weight of the full jerry cans in having to fuel up the generators.
On top of that, my wife can't lift the jerry can to fuel our mower with the g. i. issue spout.
We don't go through fuel to warrant a 75 gallon (or larger) pick up bed tank. I did some research on line, thinking I'd build a gravity feed system from a 55 gallon drum out of the back of a pickup or bench, but then someone would have to climb and fill the tank and the component would run about $300. Also, as the tank empties, it would have more air and allow more condensation thus compromising the fuel quality. Keeping full cans/ tanks reduces this drastically.
Then my wife suggested several 2 1/2 gallon jugs, but again, she couldn't lift the 5 gallon jerry can to fill the 2 1/2 gallon jugs. She would need three jugs at least...
