MattMatt: I received one of these that was out of round. There's a seam which gets welded closed during manufacturing, and it pulls together and makes the hole saw somewhat egg shaped. I figured it was just a one-off bad hole saw with a defect and returned it for a replacement. The replacement came in with the exact same issue, it's egg shaped with a point at the weld seam. It'll still cut a hole but the hole will be larger than the advertised dimension, in my case 1.125" or 29mm. The hole drilled came out around 1.190" or 30+mm which is fine for most applications however if you need to maintain tighter hole tolerances, this isn't the hole saw for you.

David Griffin: The weld wasn't smooth and didn't make a perfect size circle, the jutting weld made the hole a bit wider, but it worked enough for my need which wasn't exact

Nick R.: Every Electrician needs a set. These things are the handiest hole saws around. Also the best made. I have tried the Milwaukee and Bosch. Their pilot bit is braised into the arbour and eventually comes loose. The Dewalt one is machined one piece with the arbour. I 100% recommend buying the Dewalt brand.

Jim: I build control panels mounting 22mm industrial pushbuttons in the doors of sheet metal enclosures. A 7/8" knockout punch or hole saw fits the button. Chucked in a Dewalt impact driver, you can feel the saw progressing through the metal. As an example: I still drill an 1/8" pilot hole at center punch marks to ensure alignment with other holes but the saw took 12sec to go through a 14 gauge steel panel door. I didn't have to dig the slug out of the saw. It just falls out. I used to have to rat tail file the burr off the hole but this saw is clean enough to skip that step. I've cut 60 holes so it is relatively new. There may be more of a burr as it gets older but it costs only 20% of my carbide tipped hole saw so I can replace it more often. I would suggest not using it on plastic. It's tooth design apparently makes so many fine threads of plastic inside the hole saw, it clogs up the ejection spring and jams the cut out slug of plastic inside the saw cup. Use it on steel.
UPDATE:
My first 60 holes were with cutting oil and metal horizontal. The cutting oil stays in the cut better. When I tried it on vertical 12GA metal, the saw only lasted for 8 holes - smoke and sparks....
