So much quieter than my old portable, that's a huge plus in my book. About the only way this "falls down" (literally) is that it doesn't stand well on edge, you have to lay it flat. Sure, I could put some rubber feet on the rail and stand it up, but why do I have to? Otherwise, works flawlessly and has become a fixture in our garage.

I had used the Senco 1 gallon compressor for years and was quite happy until it stopped working. A quote to fix it was almost the same as a new one, so research showed the quality of Senco had gone way down. The Dewalt compressor has had good reviews and Hope it lasts for a long time before it eventually dies. This new compressor is as quiet as the Senco and seems to be built rugged.

I've had mine for about a year now and have been very happy with it. It is great for general use for someone that does not rely on it all day everyday. Being a smaller unit, it does come on quite often when using. If you have a few tools, tire filling, compressed air for cleaning things out then it is perfect. If your looking for something for larger jobs and daily use I would consider a larger unit. The build quality is solid and it's not too heavy. Read the manual as you should drain it from the valve when done for the day to avoid water collection in the tank. The only reason I could see anyone being unhappy with this, is if they plain and simply bought the wrong tool for the job they need. This is a small compressor, use it as such.
I can't tell you how much money this has saved me over buying those compressed air cans for cleaning dust out of PCs.
