Nela: Great book! The book is a required text for my doctoral course in student development and adult learning theory. I look forward to finishing the book. It is a valuable resource; it is helping me learn how to comprehend my college students better and how to become a more reflective practitioner.

Meg: I originally rented this textbook but decided to just buy it instead of returning it. I read this entire textbook, chapter for chapter and I think it's a great resource to use especially as a graduate student wanting to learn how to work with diverse student populations in higher education. I really do recommend it, it made me reflect on my identities especially my ethnic identity as I realized I have mixed heritage even within my Latinx ethnic identity. Really great read!

Kayla W: Obviously, I purchased this book for class, but my favorite thing about this book is how lightweight it is. It's a thick book but not heavy, but the pages aren't glossy, so it's perfect to highlight or take notes in.

Damian Evans: I found the book to be useful. I would balance it with Rethinking College Student Development Theory: Using Critical Frameworks.
