Garage man: EM has an incredible talent for realistic conversation. I find myself Feeling like I am listening in on real life situations. The whole series seems to be a snarky commentary on human foibels without actually being snarky...much. The whole series in not a waste of your time. It should be required reading.

Andrew Crate: I've been reading E.M. Foner's EarthCent series of novels since the start, and I'm starting another read through the series with the intent of posting a review of each book after I finish reading it.
This book was written 8 years after the first novel (Date Night on Union Station) but is written as a prequel to the series, so chronologically it is set first.
The story does a great job of explaining the origins of the characters and giving more detail to events which are alluded to in other novels. It's nice to find out more about characters you know from the other books, and E.M has done a great job of integrating the plot with the future events in exisiting stories and fleshing out the world even more.
A great place to get into the series and I thoroughly recommend it for anyone who enjoys some comforting and thought provoking sci fi.

Amazon Customer: Great beginnings in this book. Awesome introduction to Kelly and Joe. I LOVED Kelly's story in particular. Could it be because I am same age as her lol. Maybe? Maybe not. Anyway, great introduction to the series.

Andrew: Very good setup prequel as it lays out our characters warts and all and I feel sets the foundation for all that follows even if it’s written after several of the books already out there.
It’s definitely left me wanting to read more so I can honestly say download and enjoy 😁

Kindle Customer: This is a prequel to the Union Station Earthcent Ambassador series. I have followed the series ever since the first book, Date Night on Union Station.
The series is sci-fi, but not the usual fare. Humans are the babies and outof their depth, evolution, technology, you name it compared to the sentients they are living amongst. This is a story about Humans learning how to deal with superior sentient species and becoming a part of the Stryx Tunnel Network.

Number 6: Kelly and Joe start their journeys that get them to Union Station. An amusing kick off that gets you ready to reread the Series from The start with Date Night.

A. Karamazov: This prequel is an enjoyable reunion with the two leading characters of the Union Station series who have, due to the introduction of so many new characters, taken supporting roles in some of the later books. That’s especially true of Kelly’s husband, Joe. It is also a return to a more personal, character driven narrative. The stories in this series have often been built around business-venture, economic theory plot lines which, as long as it’s accompanied by character development and interaction, is a great way to have an entertaining story without resorting to sex and violence. The last Union Station book, however, was so heavy in that direction that I sometimes felt like I was reading through an economics lecture rather than character-focused science fiction. I didn’t post a review of that one because I didn’t want to give anything in this excellent series less than 5 stars. So, it’s with cheerful heart that I can give this release five stars and note that, through economics commentary and business dealings are still part of the plot line, there’s engaging emotional content as well.

CasMan: The entire series is imaginative, thought provoking, and pokes fun at humanity’s self importance and indulgences in both subtle and painfully obvious ways, using mostly alien characters to do it. This book chronicles the beginning of all of the following story lines with a prequel steeped in bridging details using inside information from the series’ future chronicles. Quite a trick, but well accomplished. If you’ve already read some or all of the series, this book is a must. If you’ve read none of the series, start here. It’s a pretty seamless continuance between this prequel and the first book of the series.
