JasmineJasmine: I was worried about renting this book due to the reviews about people receiving books in bad condition. However, the book I received was in good condition with no spill marks or handwriting. For $20 it’s an amazing alternative for buying it for almost $200.

Anonymous: I had to buy it for a class. It's a little expensive, but it does a good job of introducing art history and other elements considered in making art, whether it be painting, sculpture, architecture, music, etc.

Roz R: This is the textbook for an Arts class I teach for University of Phoenix. It's one of the better textbooks I've seen on the Arts. It covers painting, sculpture, literature, movies, theater, music, and dance. It's a great introduction to all of the Arts in a readable style with many photographs or illustrations of paintings, ballets, and plays. The book is expensive so I bought mine used, but it did not come with the music CD which is supposed to come with a new book. I recommend buying it new or checking with the seller of a used one to make sure it comes with the CD.
