MelMel: Looks great, easy to install as long as you have the tools needed. My husband and I took about three and a half hours to complete the set up. So far very satisfied!

AmyAmy: All of the pieces fit and came undamaged. We did have to trim the top and bottom rails because the tile we used is pretty thick. We bought a tile drill bit for this project and it only made it about 3 of the six holes. Anyway, if you have a tiled shower you’ll need that bit to cut the holes for the side rail anchors.

It’s much easier to hang the doors with two people. Doors slide fine. Use a level because just the slightest angle or slope will make the doors roll themselves open if you don’t have them “locked” in the sides.

These are not for ”slinging” open. The rubber stops for the doors are harder clear rubber, not soft rubber. If in a hurry, I would caution against flinging the door open to get in or out.

Make sure it’s good and square before drilling the holes and securing the frame. If it isn’t square, it will not allow the doors to slide correctly. This part took us a little while.

My only concern is that it did not come with any extra hardware. Just an extra screw for each kind would be good in case one gets dropped or is cross-threaded. We almost had one get stripped. But my spouse is a fabrication guy so he got this assembled...

Marcia N. Gallo: I have been a DIYer for years and have installed many shower doors from the late 1970’s to now.  After reading the bad reviews, I believe common denominators were that: some contractors gave their customers “a line,” probably to cover-up their faux pas; while some installers probably did not read the instructions (well enough) ---or they did not read the instructions at all(!); and some people should not be tackling this job, as they may have two left hands (while being right-handed).  On a difficulty scale of 1-5, 1 being easy and 5 very difficult, I would rate this a 1-2.  2-3, if this was your first attempt.

Here are my pros and cons for the "Delta Shower Doors SD3927410 Classic Semi-Frameless," I installed.

---Although I purchased it through Amazon, it was delivered well and unmolested.  Think of it: one Amazon driver lifting and delivering this unit by him/herself without doing any damage to it?  Kudos for that Amazon driver.

---Installation was straight forward with no questioning of what part might fit in two different...
