Paul Daley: Fixed two things at once - leaking shower and the shower temperature control which was reversed - simply rotated the cartridge 180 degrees when installed and the control was back to normal - very good design by Delta.

Remember to buy silicone plumbers grease as it was not supplied with this product.
Cannot beat OEM.
Total upgrade from the original that was leaking and sloppy from years of use.

Kanwarjit Singh: It worked for me. Easy to install. Read instructions. Speak with delta support first and if they recommend this product, you wont have issues. Plumber not required for install. Buy a allen key set and one ranch- atleast 2inch diameter and you be good

Just a regular person: DOES NOT FIT OLDER MODELS

I have a Monitor 13 series shower faucet. I looked up the model on their site and found the parts list. It calls for this part number (RP46074) which DOES NOT FIT my faucet.

Apparently the design changed in 2006. If your faucet is newer than 2006, get this. If it's older than 2006, the correct part number is RP19804.

This is very poorly handled by Delta. Their parts diagrams wasted a lot of my time, now I have to return this and order another.

SeattleMariners: Perfect fit to my 1400 series. The original had an old type of temperature adjuster, and this new one has a bit different adjusting switch, which I wondered if it could fit to the shower knob, but it did fit perfectly. no problem at all. It did NOT come with a small packet of plumber's grease, which was the only minus.

Sarah Stebbins: I gave this 4 stars because there is nothing wrong with the product itself. I took off a star because this ended up not being the correct part for my shower. This is for a system installed after 2006. My shower system is from before 2006 (RP19804 is the correct part for it). Aesthetically both showers look exactly the same, but this particular part is different enough between the two that they are not interchangeable. I sent this back and got a refund from Amazon. Having this critical information in the listing title would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

I did a lot of research before buying this, to include Delta’s own website. It would be incredibly helpful if all listing titles mentioned this part being for before or after 2006. It was not until after taking everything apart (major pain getting that one piece off) and trying to install this that I realized it is wrong (and saw the for post 2006 in small writing on the back of the package). I also then went back to Delta’s site and while this part says nothing about being for after 2006 more digging revealed the correct part for pre 2006, which was very clearly labeled as such.

Cutting it to a SHORT STORY: drilling out the housing ports & mixer cylinder with a 5/32 drill bit and as long as you do not have plugged/clogged piping causing the low flow issue this WILL INCREASE THE FLOW. I also used an air compressor with a small rubber tip and a can of WD40. It took some time and a lot of repetition, but finally got all the rust and particles out of the lines by allowing WD40 to soak and then blowing air into & through the lines.

I am not a licensed plumber. I am a hands on properly manager who does almost all his own work and I have a lot of experience with these issues. I've successfully completed tons of repairs myself. That being said...
